Turkey Trot

Well, since it is the beginning of Fall lots of activities are going on lately on the farm which are keeping me more occupied instead and so therefore not much creativity going on this week. We are doing the soybean harvest now. I did manage to make one card though so thought I would share it with you.

I just had to purchased that cool turkey die. I think he is so proud and looks like he is ruffling his feathers as he trots along. I die cut him out of kraft card stock and then used my Bic Mark-It alcohol ink pens to color him in. I like the fact that you can elevate his tail feathers at different levels and it really does look like he is ruffling them out.

I also completely colored some white card stock with my dye ink pads using Autumn colors and then when they were dry took another die and cut out all those leaves to add embellishment to the card.

The turkey and the leaves are layered onto two die cut panels which have a cross stitched design. I used card stock from Gina K. Designs and also used a sentiment from Gina K. Designs. Another panel was added inside so I can add a message when I am ready to send it in the mail. I also added some die cut leaves inside too.

Cheery Lynn Dies:
Tom The Turkey B599
Flourish Leaf Strip B178

Memory Box Die:
Cross Stitched Frame Borders Style No. 99124

Gina K. Designs stamp set Always Autumn, which is illustrated by Theresa Momber, provided the nice big sentiment which worked wonderfully  on my card. I stamped it in dark brown ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Cheery Lynn Designs Blog Challenge-Anything Goes
Mod Squad Blog Challenge-Anything With Wings

Well, I hope you are enjoying this Autumn type weather. It does get cool at night so we just try to bundle up more and add a blanket as we don't care to start the furnace quite yet. And, thanks for stopping by and for all the lovely comments. Have a great rest of the week.

God Bless,
Verna

No autumn weather here yet! LOL

What do you do with the soybeans, Verna?

Darling card! My autumn colors will be those shown on your blog in your pretty cards. It's a gorgeous die cut, especially the way you've arranged the scene and colored it all! Love, de
