Popsicle Shaker Card

I am finding that I so enjoy making shaker cards now. I even have proper supplies on hand now with more on the way. So I may be posting a lot more from now on. I also look at dies in a whole new way too to see if they would work well on a card of this type. Today I am very proud as to how this one turned out and I wanted to share it with you.

Oh, looking at this card just makes my mouth water for a cool popsicle. And, I chose my favorite flavors of orange, lime and grape. The stamps and die set are from Sunny Studio and is called Perfect Popsicles. The shaker elements are from Doodles Paper Playground and this Sparkle Blend is called Purple Passion.

I took a close up picture so that you can see the beautiful blend of beads and fun sequins in the mix. I had added some light weight purple card stock behind the die cut so that it would look like a grape popsicle. I also added some kraft card stock to the stick area of the die cut popsicle. This card sure makes me think of warmer weather and summer fun!

Well, outside it is windy and chilly today. But in South Dakota we know that the weather can change in a flash from one type to another. So I guess we are used to it. I hope you are having a great Sunday. And, thanks for the visits and comments you leave. They mean so much to me.

God bless,
Verna

Super shaker card, Verna. I love the design, although it's too cold here in the UK today to need cooling off with an ice lolly! xx

You are rocking the shakers, Verna! I think this is such a fantastic Popsicle stamp. That highlight area really adds dimension and the drips are awesome! Great job with the purple and kraft paper for your shaker grapesicle! The whole card is fun and festive!! Hugs, Darnell

Well, your weather is just like Wisconsin, it can change in a second. I sure wish that would happen as we still have very cold weather and it is almost May! Your shaker card is simply delicious and the popsicles look so very delectable. Keep them coming and maybe the warmer weather will follow.

This is so fun! Those popsicles look very realistic and it was a great idea to turn one into a shaker. I am not very good with shakers at all! Yours looks so good with that fun mixof sequins.

It is cool yesterday and today, but later in the week I think we will feel hot! Have a good day!

LOVE this, what a fun fun shaker card!! Those colors just 'POP" (pun intended)..lol!! Joanns online had a 50% off paper craft sale and had the Nuvo confetti sets to use for shakers, so I purchased the 3 sets they had, for some reason not all came up on sale...but can't wait to get them as I love making shakers...today is last day of the sale, stamps are 50% off too as well as oxides and etc and there is a code for cheaper shipping, if interested!

You SHOULD be proud of this card, it's simply adorable. Only YOU would make a popcicle into a shaker. And I love your colors. I'll be looking forward to more of your sweet creations!

This looks luscious. And will be a terrific card for the hot months of summer too! You are so creative when it comes to using your supplies in 'out of the box' ways...I really admire this. The popsickles are really quite realistic with the sheen you've got on the colors too! Well done. TFS & Hugs

This card is the best! I have been thinking of popsicles every since the sun finally came out and these are my favorites too, along with raspberry. The highlights and drips make them look so real. Great job.

What cute popsicle stamps these are! I can't tell if they're colored or if they just stamp that way, but I love them with the drips and that you made one into a shaker. It does add an additional fun element to a card. Cute little sprinkles you put inside.
