Spring Wedding Card

Happy Sunday to all! While I was still in the mood of working with a stencil and some sponges I decided to try and make a wedding card for our great niece who will be getting married early in June. I like how this turned out as well. This card will also be entered in the Stamp TV Monthly Challenge.

The stenciled design is done using a lace one from Tim Holtz. I used Gina K. Designs inks to add color by sponging. Next I added a gold edged chiffon ribbon down the center. My flowers are from the Gina K. Designs Stippled Flowers set. I colored them with Copics and then cut them out and laid them over the top partially covering the ribbon and lace background. The sentiment is also from that stamp set and I stamped it in black onto the white sentiment panel before adding it to some gold glitter paper. Several years ago I bought a bag of buttons and in that bag were these double heart charms so I thought that would look nice attached to the sentiment. The final touch was to punch out three circles from the gold glitter paper and add them randomly.

I am also adding this to the following challenges:
Double D's Challenge
Mod Squad Challenge

Well, another gorgeous day here. Sun is shining and there is a light breeze. I hope your Sunday is a good one too. Enjoy the day!

God bless,
Verna

Oh, my goodness, this WOWED my eyes out when I opened your blog! Soooo beautiful with the stenciled panel, the colored flowers, the gold and those heart charms. The glitter paper is spectacular! Love how you made the punched circle accents with it, and is that a vellum panel? What a gorgeous design! I'm sure glad you linked this up at Double D!

Wow! I love your wedding card, Verna, and so will your great niece! You've incorporated several different techniques, colors and textures - just like their life together will be throughout the years - full of changes and options. I also like the golden aspects. Those looped hearts are amazing, representing not only their hearts of gold, but their wedding bands and vows. Surely, Verna, they will keep this as a treasured keepsake in their wedding album. It's lovely! hugs, de
