I have always been a fan of the scene images from Stampscapes and so today I brought out my stamps from Kevin's beautiful designs and made a simple scene card. I tried to use colors of spring in it as well.
I stamped the scene with black ink from Gina K. Designs and then proceeded to color it in with various shades of Gina K. Designs inks with makeup sponges and finger daubers. I also used a gray Copic marker to add color to the rocks. I have no method to my coloring as I just keep at it until I feel it is the way I want it to look.
My Gina K. Designs black card stock frame is made from a Spellbinder die called A2 Polka Dots. I added the framed scene to a card base of Gina K. Designs Lovely Lavender card stock.
I did not add any sentiment as I like to have some cards on hand that are generic so that they can be used for multiple occasions. I find scene stamps are particularly lovely for masculine types of cards too.
I am entering this card into the Mod Squad Blog Challenge for this week in which they have you use at least three of the color choices for your card or project. I used several more than that, so it should qualify.
Thanks again for looking at my blog postings. And, I wish all of you a most wonderful Easter too.
God bless,
Verna

Hi, Verna! Your beautiful scene looks lovely matted against that design and the striking black and white! The sponging and dauber application worked wonderfully with this design - you have a great touch, Miss Verna! thanks for sharing. hugs, de
Verna, the coloring on your scene is beautiful. The sponging techniques really worked well here. I haven't had much luck coloring my Stampscapes, but I sure will try my sponges and daubers.
This one is a winner Verna! It could not be any better.
Holy Smokes! What a beautiful serene scene you have created! Love this!
