One day last week I did several Color Burst backgrounds and today I decided that this particular one was perfect for the Iris image and the sentiments from the Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 8 stamp set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.
I only used the colors of purple and green but a little blue tinge appeared as well but I like that look myself. I stamped the images and sentiment in Gina K. Designs black dye ink and colored the Iris in with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I fussy cut the Iris and placed it on the background. I finished the card by placing it on a mint green card stock base.
I think all the colors of Iris flowers are so gorgeous but I was always drawn to the purple ones more than the yellow ones.
And, see I got my new Crossover and have been giving it a workout. Love it and today got the special plate to put on it which says it was made especially for me. I had to include that in the photo as I am pleased as punch with it.
I so appreciate your comments and thanks for stopping by.
God bless,
Verna.

Oh Verna what an absolute BEAUTY you have produced here. I too LOVE purple iris's the best. This is so striking and gorgeous. AWESOME.
Gorgeous! This background is perfect with your beautiful iris.
The background is amazing, but does not take away from the beautiful iris. Great job here.
One of the most incredible iris masterpieces I've ever seen! Verna, this should definitely be framed! It's gorgeous! xo
Oh Verna, this is a beauty! Your stunning background makes your beautiful iris look almost ethereal! And I'm glad you love your Crossover and I hope you find that it's easier to crank than any of the other machines. I love mine too. And isn't it cool to have your very own name plate?
