I am pretty well recuperated from the flu I had earlier but then I went and hurt my ankle so I was babying that by elevating my leg a lot. With all that and the garden it is hard to find any stamping time. But this was a quick design I made for a sympathy type card.
This was made for a gentleman who made his living as a trucker and then in later life was a mechanic and worked on semi tractors and trailers. My husband worked with him for several years so we became good friends. He was tragically killed in a vehicle accident so it was a real shock to hear he had died.
The semi tractor is from Stampitcrazy, the trees are from Sutter Stamps and the sentiments are from A Jillian Vance Design. I used a Cottage Cutz Double Stitched die to cut out the scene and I chose not to color it in.
I am entering this in the Mod Squad Blog Challenge which says we need to feature wheels.
Thanks for visiting and for always leaving such wonderful comments.
God bless,
Verna

Hope your ankle recovers soon, Verna.
Your sympathy card is beautiful, a perfect design with a lovely sentiment. So tragic that the gentleman lost his life this way. xx
This is extremely touching, especially left B&W with the blue card. I am very sorry you lost your friend ♥ Big hugs to you and Arlin - and may your ankle heal quickly!
I hope your ankle is now on the mend, your card is just gorgeous, a fabulous male card.xxx
Oh my, so sorry to hear that! This card is perfect for his family and will surely bring him comfort. Glad the flu is gone, good luck with your ankle. If you're in need of any Poison Oak, come n over! scratch, scratch, scratch.....
So sorry to hear of the tragic death. Your card will be so soothing for his family, as you have done a fabulous job showing how you met him. Hope your ankle gets better soon
A perfect card for your friend, so sorry to hear about your loss. I do love the card and that scene is perfect for the occasion. Hope your ankle is better too! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Mod Squad Challenge Angie, Challenge Host.
Your card is so perfect. I love this sentiment
Glad you are feeling better, Verna, but sorry to hear about your ankle. Hope that is not on your "bad leg", and that you are soon recovered from that, too. Verna, I am sorry to hear about your friend. Probably, your loving card will be more meaningful to them than any other card because of the heartfelt customization you put into it. It's a fabulous image, but more, the sentiments are just lovely with it. Have a great week-end, my friend! hugs, de
Bummer on that ankle, seems like you can't catch a break lately. Heal fast, my friend. Your card is perfect, I love how you have combined those stamps. Well done!!!
Your collection of stamps is awesome! I love how personalized you are for your sympathy cards, they are perfect!
Glad that the flu is finally giving up on you. Hopefully a sore ankle will only slightly hinder your card making. I have to compliment you on this card. I like the way you used multiple companies: Stampitcrazy, Jillian Vance, Sutter Stamps, Cottage Cutz - to complete your project. I think it is easier to make cards from just one vendor as they are sometimes designed to go together. It is so rewarding to draw from all corners of the craft room to complete a project. Chalk one up for Verna!!!!
Oh, my gosh, what a perfect image for a trucker! This is so great, Verna!! I'm glad you are getting over the flu, but so bummed about your ankle! Maybe your body is trying to tell you to slow down?! I hope it's better real soon! Hugs, Darnell
Sorry for your loss Verna! That is such a tragic story., but I'm sure they will cherish his cad for a long time.
Love that you chose to leave your image in B&W. Perfect for such a sad occasion. Looks super!
What a perfect image for your trucker friend! Awesome card
