Tulips

My tulips are almost ready to bloom but with some colder temps coming in again I am afraid they might freeze off. At least the tulips I print with stamps won't freeze and the good thing is that I can make them any color I want. I really like this stamp set from Stamplorations called Layered Vase so finally I used it to make a complete card. I sort of messed up a bit but hope I resurrected it well enough to be sent to someone one day. The last time I used this set it was for a tag.

I wanted the tulips to have a multi-colored look but it did not work out as well as I had hoped. But I still think it is not too bad. I die cut the panel with a My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and then placed it on a yellow card stock base. I also added a sheet of paper inside so that I can write a message. A few rhinestones completed the card. Cards of this type can be used for multiple occasions and by leaving the inside blank I can make it more personalized when the time comes.

I am entering this in Jan's Digi Challenge # 11-April 2020 Anything Goes.

Thanks for visiting and we are doing okay still. Sometimes a little bored but we can live with that. We try to keep busy somehow. My sewing machine is broke down and I hate sewing anyway so I ordered a couple masks for us in case we need to go out. Nothing fancy. But will suffice for our needs. So hopefully we will be ready for a store trip with more protection. Take care everyone.

God bless,
Verna

I love your vase of cheerful tulips my friend. I am still waiting on mine in the garden. They are only about 3 inches up, trying to peek out from under the ground.

Verna- Spring has Sprung- on the front of your card! I love your tulips in that classy vase- the color and coloring is fabulous. The Wonky Stitch and the rhinestones do just what you said- made a great completion to your creation!
Dick and I are doing the same thing- hanging at the house. My roses are blooming- we sit on the front porch swing usually in the evenings, he does the cooking (as always). Thanks for entering JDS Blog Challenge #11. Good luck and be safe!
Hugs,

Jan (owner and illustrator Jan's Digital Stamp Shop)

What a lovely cheerful card Verna - love the almost halo effect of the yellow around the tulips.
I got my sewing machine out Tuesday to make a mask, and we had a few 'moments' before she ran sweetly.... since then I have mended some dolls clothes (for a granddaughter) and hemmed some net curtains and hung them...
Stay safe

I love this sketchy artsy looking tulip card. It will be fun to send out this spring. I leave my insides blank too makes for more versatility. I had to hand sew a mask yesterday and it turned out pretty good. I will make another one today. No luck purchasing one and soon we will be going home. Stay safe.

I love your card (orange tulips are among my favorites!!), and I love this stamp set! I have been trying to order it since you posted you tag project, but it has been out of stock and was told by the owner that the manufacturing plant was temporarily shut down so no idea when they'd be back. :(

Lovely stamp, and I think you're layered look is splendid! So sorry your machine is broke, I just made a couple masks last night (Hubbs has his own "industrial" ones but I wanted to look more like a female - lol)

Beautiful card Verna. Love that stamp set and is on my Wish List for when it comes back in stock. When you use any STAMPlorations stamps etc add it to the https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/p/stamplorations-anything-goes-challenge.html You could be a winner.

Gosh, this is a big stamp. I remember you saying that before. It sure is pretty, though! No tulips in my garden. I would have to replant them most every year and the deer like them too much.
