At the Mod Squad Challenge Blog we were challenge to make a one layer card as fast as we could. Well, if I had not started with the jewels it would have been done in six minutes but adding those made it ten minutes. But I think the jewels add so much to the design. This time frame included folding the card and collecting some of the elements needed for it too!
I used the ornament and sentiment from the Gina K. Designs Season's Greetings set. The pine sprig is from the Gina K. Designs Peace and Joy set illustrated by Theresa Momber. Gina K. Designs inks used on this card are Christmas Pine and Cherry Red. I used Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury heavy based white card stock for the card so that I could use my Copics to color in the cones without it bleeding through. Worked great! I finished the card by adding jewels to the ornament.
I hope all of you are having a great week and will have a great Thanksgiving too! And to all who are traveling, have a safe journey!
God bless,
Verna

How pretty, Verna! Those pinecones and pine branches look fabulous clustered at the top, sharing the space with a man-made bauble. LOVE your design, and color choices! hugs, de
Very Pretty!!! Thanks for stopping by Verna. I love the way you have them coming down from the top.
Your Christmas bauble looks fabulous hanging from the lovely pin cones. Gorgeous sentiment stamp.
Well this is fabulous inspiration, I am having a very hard time letting go of my layers, grrr! Gorgeous card!
I agree, the jewels just make this card. Love both the images you used here, and the coloring of the pine cone and needles add a lot too. Great job doing it in 10 minutes!!!
This is such a great example of how you can leave off the layers and still make a wonderful creative card. Now, if I could only do the came! Lol
Absolutely love this one Verna. Beautiful
I LOVE this card. Those pine sprigs are so real looking and I think that ornament is the perfect addition to the pine sprig.
What a pretty scene, Verna. Love the peeking pinecones!
