Mini Bokeh Effect

Sorry I have not done much this week but health issues are bothering me these days and so I am not very energetic right now. But over the week I did manage to do a bit each day on this simple card and create a little note card.

I thought it would be cool to try and created a mini Bokeh Effect background with a stencil I purchased last week from the Stampinback line from I Brake for Stamps called Dots. I used various colors of ink and did a layer of one color at a time.  After I cleaned the stencil off and dried it, I proceeded to add another layer of a different color by moving the stencil slightly. I kept repeating this and each time using a different color. My last little white dots were added with a Q-Tip.

My bold flowers and sentiment which are also from Stampinback and available at I Brake for Stamps were inked in black ink and added to the front panel of the card. My sentiment was stamped on white card stock and then layered onto a black piece of card stock.

Well, just a little bit of creativity each day helps to make me feel better. Well, guess it is back to the recliner now. Don't worry about me. I am going to be fine but some antibiotics affect me in a negative way sometimes. LOL

I hope all of you are having a great week. And thanks for stopping by to see my blog.

God bless,
Verna

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Good to know that a little crafting makes you feel better. I love the sentiment and the font on this card. It goes so well with the BG and the flowers that you have cleverly stamped in black. Nice spring look.

Oh geez, keep that leg up. So sorry you are having problems!! And yes, antibiotics can be a pain sometimes. What a cute idea to do the mini-bokeh, you clever girl. Your colors are so pretty, and I love the silhouetted flowers. This card is amazing!!!

You are so clever, Verna! Great idea to use a stencil and quickly apply the ink rather than dotting each one of the little circles with a dauber! Hopefully you are feeling a little better today - I'm sure the weather is not always your best friend - thank you for sharing your pretty card! xo

Love the black with those backround colours. Take it easy so you are not down longer. :)

Your bokeh note card is darling, Verna! I love the colors! I'm glad you are able to get your hands in something creative once in a while during your recovery. Hopefully, you will be all healed soon and no longer need the nasty antibiotics!! Hugs, Darnell
