What a Wonderful Weekend!

No card from me today as my life has been more of a social one this past weekend. And, it was so fun and enjoyable. The weekend began with our town's 130th anniversary and an all school reunion all weekend long. With approximately only about 60 + students at a time in our high school that meant all students in the four upper classes were pretty much acquainted with all in the school so it was fun to run into so many old friends there and visit. As it was I missed catching up with many who attended.

Saturday there was a special reunion of my class only as we celebrated our 50th anniversary. That was wonderful to see classmates and catch up even if it was just five or six of us who attended. And one of the gals sent an email so we could see what the last 50 years had been like for her. Sadly we were missing two of our classmates who had passed on but we remembered them as well.

To round off the weekend Sunday I had family members over to our home where we shared a supper and got some more great visiting in.

Monday the celebration continued as we then traveled to Huron, SD to visit with my all my sisters at our Sister Reunion that we started after the death of my Mom. We went through old pictures and had a fun time just recalling past times. My oldest sister is 84 so it is hard for her to travel now so we meet at her home. We did a potluck lunch and her daughters came by for a bit to help set up the meal.

Well, now the garden is picking up speed so I will be busy with that until the weekend again when we will once again be having family and friends come by. It is also the bridal shower on Saturday for our youngest daughter so that will be fun too.

I hope your week is a fun and fulfilling one as well. Thanks for stopping in and in a couple weeks I hope to be able to do a bit of artwork. But then I might find a spare minute or two to do a quick and easy one again this week. Those new stamps sure do look inviting to me each time I happen to glance there way. LOL And I got new ink pads two with luscious colors that are calling my name as well.

Until next time may God bless you richly.
Hugs,
Verna
