My biggest problem with making Halloween Treat bags is that I have to sample the treats while doing so. But I sure enjoyed the treats along with the making of this easy and simple design.
I simply took a sandwich bag and cut off the top and added the treats. Then with Cheery Lynn Designs oval dies I made the topper base with orange card stock layered onto black. Using my Scor Pal I embossed down the middle and folded it over. I stamped the sentiment on the orange layer with Gina K. Designs black ink. Next I stamped the cat in the moon image onto white card stock with the black ink and colored it in with my Bic Mark-It pens. After fussy cutting out the moon/cat image I added it to the topper. All that was left to do then was to staple it on the treat bag.
Couldn't be easier. And, with limited time these days I am glad it did not take so long.
Cheery Lynn Dies used:
XM-7 Oval Classic
XM-9 Oval Inverted Scallop

Your treat bag is so cute, Verna! The black cat is so cute! Love all the yummies inside too! Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog, really appreciate them.
Verna, this is so cute! Love that cat and how you used those dies! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Mod Squad Challenge Angie, Challenge Host.
Very cute! I'm thinking if I had enough time, I should do something like this for the few that come to us now. We used to have so many and now they are far and few between!
What a clever and cute idea! Love it! I'll bet kids would love getting this special treat bag.
Good idea to use a ziploc and just cut off the top. I will remember this. Have you made these to give out on Halloween? If so, you either don't have many kids coming to your house, or you are very busy making them. This is so stinkin' cute, I LOVE it!!!
What an awesome neighbor you are for the children in the area, Verna! I just hold out the bowl and let them grab what they want! Your treat bags are such fun!! (BTW, that treat bowl I mentioned only contains the candy I don't like. The rest are stashed away in my Essential Elements drawer in one of my caddies in the Playhouse, tee hee!) Hugs, Darnell
Wonderfully done!
