I stamped out several of the images from the Heartfelt Creations Frolicking Frosty stamp set and this afternoon I made another card. This time I used the whole image with this particular Frosty. And, I love how this one looks too.
Now you have to admit that is one cute snowman. I can see him greeting all the people as they pass by. And, he is ready to decorate the tree too it seems.
I stamped him first on white card stock and then colored him in with my Bic Mark-It pens. It seems lately I am always grabbing those markers as I love how they color. I also sponged on some blue for the sky and a little bit of shadow below Frosty in the snow line.
This focal panel was then ready to add to a couple layers of card stock which were die cut with the Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Border dies. For those layers I chose colors that sort of complimented the colors of some the ornaments. Once all was layered I added it to the white card base.
I also stamped some of the Heartfelt Creations snowflakes from the Snow Kissed Spruce set inside the card. And, on the outside of the card I added snowflakes from the Fri-Dies Funky Flakes set to which I painted on Wink of Stella. I also added a iridescent rhinestone gem to each. Those gems reflect back in the colors on the card.
The final step was to add some Wink of Stella to Frosty and also to the snow and ornaments. I know it is hard to see in the other photos but I am hoping this last photo will show a bit of the sparkle.
Well, I could not find a challenge that this would work for today so this is just another one I am doing for the fun of it.
Oh, and on a side note today is me and my hubby's 47th wedding anniversary. I don't think we will celebrate today unless it should rain. It is corn harvest season. I learned as a new bride early on that farming would always come before any celebration. In fact, we cut our honeymoon to the Black Hills short by two days so he could get back home to do the corn harvest. But we will eventually get it in and have a meal out. But my sweetie did remember me with a card and we shared a few kisses too before he went outside to do his farming thing!
Well, it has been dreary all day but so far not rained. We had thought the forecast said for sunshine but it eluded us all day long. Now it is almost 6 o'clock in the evening and the temps are falling once again. I guess it is time for me to see what I can burn for supper. LOL Have a good night everyone and thanks for the lovely comments you leave me always.
God bless,
Verna

Wow 47 years - quite an accomplishment! Congrats! This adorable little guy is so fun. Love the scene with the ornaments in the snow. Beautiful colors and the gems really do reflect the colors from the card! Wonderful coloring to and I really like his sparkly belly!
So happy and sweet! Loving this little happy snowman, Verna! And the colors are AMAZING! Almost electric, aren't they? LOVE the effect you achieved with your markers - and those beautiful colors, Verna! congratulations on 47 years! WOW! This year was our 40th - it's so comforting to be with the one person who understands everything about you, and appreciates you to pieces, isn't it? xoxox
I love this snowman. You created a sweet scene, so much fun!
Hope you had a lovely anniversary. I can identify with the time of year.....we got married the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it's the High Holy Season of rifle deer season here in Michigan. Don't think I didn't hear about THAT. How dare I plan a wedding during hunting season...lol. I have never lived that one down. I love your card, and your color palette. He's just so stinkin' CUTE!!! And yes, sometimes we just need to make a card with no challenge in mind.
I love this cute snowman surrounded by his Christmas bobbles. I agree he looks like he is waving to everyone who passes by. Great colorin and the Wink of Stella is the perfect finishing touch.
Happy, Happy Anniversary. Your card is beautiful
Kathleen
