This is the second card I have posted and blogged about using the napkin technique that I saw in this VIDEO. It shows how to use cheap napkins in layers and then die cut them to create a fun canvas for your water coloring. I even used some napkins that had printing on them and that still worked so it does not necessarily have to be white ones.
The dies used are from the Cheery Lynn Designs Christmas Bell set. And, the sentiment is from the Altenew Lyrical Script. I colored the die in with Zig water color markers and then with a paint brush added some metallic paint. Some times the inside design on the bells is die cut too but I liked the way the bells looked with the negative cuts remaining in the design. This was placed onto Ivory card stock and then with the brush I flicked on some of the gold paint to the background.
I thought I should share this with you too. I hope to see what others do with this idea as well. Thanks for visiting and have a great day. I need to freeze tomatoes that are ripe and too many for us to eat fresh so I may not get any card making in today. But at least I got to share this one with you.
God bless,
Verna

Wow! This turned out great, too! I like the idea of using printed napkins. Everything looks totally different when it's die cut. Beautiful card, Verna!

This turned out so pretty and I haven't done this technique since I started card making a long time ago! TFS the video!
I love this CAS card with the bells. It was all that was needed for a spectacular Christmas card.
This is gorgeous! You chose a great die for this technique; the details of the die cut and the texture of the paint/water on the napkin look amazing together!! Love the gold splatters, too. Again - gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing your project and the video. I will definitely need to give this a try.
So glorious with those rich, jewel tone blue colors and your regal golden hues shown throughout, Verna! Love the use of the napkin, and your sweet sentiment! hugs, de

Great card, and I'm definitely going to have to try this technique! Unfortunately, mine are not only not white but they have jokes on them (silly Hubbs -- his sense of humor reigns)!
Oh, this one is beautiful too....yes, I still have to try it, we have been gone so I have so much catching up to do, but you have once again inspired me to give it a try!!
This is so pretty, I need to watch the video. TFS
