Pumpkin Spice!

I worked up a last minute design to enter in the Impression Obsession Challenge-Pumpkin Spice! I think I just made it as the deadline is later tonight. Whew!

I took a strip of Ivory card stock and with my blending brushes added color to it but going lighter in the sky with the color when I got to the center. Then with black ink I stamped the first pumpkin and then masked that off and added a pumpkin on each side to make it look like a trio of them. These pumpkins were colored in with Prismacolor Pencil and then blended with Gamsol. I then added the sentiment. I also flicked a bit of watered out black ink onto the scene to give some interest to it.

This panel was then placed on a black card base. Then inside I added a white piece of paper so that I can write a message later on.

IO Supplies used:

Thanks for visiting and I hope your day is filled with sunshine. Ours is dark and dreary with a few sprinkles now and then.

God bless,
Verna

Lovely making and coloring, Verna. I'm glad you were able to get this into the challenge, too. We've had the rainiest year. It's sunny in the mornings and then the rain pours in the afternoons. Take good care.

Nice fall card. I love making them and although I have all of my Christmas cards done, I have yet to make some fall ones. Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice job masking and coloring your trio of pumpkins! They look great on your sponged background. Love how you kept it clean and simple with all that black behind your work; it really makes it stand out nicely.
