I haven't been joining in many challenges lately because if I win a gift certificate I can't seem to curb myself to just that amount but instead buy a lot more. I love buying more but to tell the truth I am running out of room so I figured I best not tempt myself. But when I saw the Double D Challenges theme was Sunflowers I just had to join in with a card I made using an Artplorations Sunflower Stencil and a Cutplorations die which are all part of Stamplorations. I used inks from Rubbernecker to add the colors with a blending brush. I just love this stencil and I had so much fun. And that is a wonderful sentiment especially this time of Thanksgiving. But it works all year long as far as I am concerned.
I took a marker and with a little darker brown I tried to add some texture to the centers of each sunflower. I thought it might bring a little more realistic look to them.
Thanks for stopping by on this rainy day. And, it is to really get cold I hear and we may be having a hard freeze in the next few nights. They even mentioned that word SNOW! Not sure I am ready for that unless it falls and disappears right away. Anyway, everyone take care.
God bless, Verna

Wow! What a beautiful looking card, Verna. I love this. [Bunny]
This is incredible! Such beautiful colors! I know what you mean about spending more than you win! I need to purge a LOT of stuff! Lol…just can’t find time to photograph, post, and stay on top of the posts, in case someone wants what I’ve posted!
Beautifully created slimline Verna! Thank you for joining our challenge at Double D!

This is stunning. Your colors choices are just right and you have used that stencil perfectly. Gorgeous card, my friend!!!
This is stunning, Verna! Wonderful sunflowers and sentiment too!
Beautiful design and colors! The texture you added to the centers of the flowers looks great! I don't think I'm ready to think about snow yet either! Stay warm.
Oh my friend this is just GORGEOUS!!! Your overall design is just awesome and yep ... perfect for ANY TIME of the year!! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Sunflowers’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Please stop in for a visit!
P.S. Please feel free to share it with us over on the FOUR SEASONS CHALLENGE where the theme is Anything Goes FALL.
Verna, wow, this is an absolute show-stopper! Your coloring is really dynamite which makes the sunflowers look so real! Sorry to hear you are getting cold and possibly snow already. Maybe it will be a quick one and you'll have a few days of Indian Summer afterwards. (I know what you mean about getting more schtuff. Sometimes if I win a stamp set/die or a gc, I email the person who handles that and I decline it, asking that they just put it back to give in the future. And that way you still get the fun of winning!) Hugs, Darnell
Ha! I wish I "won so much" I had to stop. LOL JK -- this card is stunning -- you nailed the beautiful colors.
This is really lovely x
This is one stunning card, and I just love those sunflowers!
Very sweet card, and definitely Fall colors! And what else but a Thankful sentiment -- it's perfect. Hope your weather doesn't drop too much, and the snow stays at bay for awhile.
Verna, You have certainly outdone it again with this gorgeous slimline sunflower card. Thank you for linking up with us at Double D Challenge.
