CAS Thank You

Happy Saturday to all of you. And, it was a happy mail day for me as well as my new Journey of the Heart Stamp TV kit arrived today. I decided I had to play a little bit so worked up a CAS design for a thank you card to include in the Operation Write Home package I am working on.

I used ivory and blue denim card stock for my card. I also used Gina K. Designs Blue Denim ink. The flower and leaves are from the Love and Prayers set in the kit. The Thank You Border is a single stamp from Gina K. Designs which I really love too. It has a more elegant look with that border I thought. And, can't get much simpler than the use of a few solid type image stamps and one ink pad. I had to fussy cut the flower and then I popped it over the leaves.

Well, I am off to work on a few more designs for Operation Write Home. I wish all of you a great weekend.

This is gorgeous Verna! I am so excited about being able to do cards for OWH. I received my kit yesterday from StampTV. Had to buy this one and can't wait to play.

Verna, this is a beautiful card! Love the fussy cut flower for dimension, and that gorgeous border (mine would never get stamped so straight as yours). You commented on my blog about the difference between CAS and lots of embellies -- I wish I could do CAS because they look so CLASSY. I drop my stamps and ink pads, etc, so many times during the card creating process, that my cards are the result of covering up mistakes LOL. Verna, So sorry I have not been able to visit your blog regularly this month - the bingo game is taking all my time and energy - and will until it is completed. hugs, de
