Last night I decided to try a new way of using stamps to make a no lines design. I stamped the image with light pink and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. I found this to be more controllable for me then markers as sometimes with my arthritis I tend to shake somewhat. I was inspired by this blog post by Kathy Racoosin. She even has a video which was very informative to me.
Now in no way can I compete with Kathy's talent but at least this was one I thought I could safely post to my blog as it isn't too awful. I used the Wild Prairie Rose image from the Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 7 set which is illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. With my Prismacolor pencils I was able to color the flowers and use the pencil included to blend them. I know Gamsol works too, but I am all out at the moment.
I wanted a big bold sentiment so I used one of them from A Jillian Vance Designs Simply Said: Sympathy set. When I want a big sentiment for a sympathy card I find I am always reaching for that set as it has such a pretty font and wonderful messages.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Power & Spark Challenge: Say YES to NO Lines
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Fantastic Florals
Well, our week is off to a good start. And, we have been having temperatures in the 60's for highs. Unbelievable for this time of year but it sounds like it is back to winter by the weekend. So we are enjoying it while it lasts. I hope you have a great week too and thanks for all your visits and comments.
God bless,
Verna
This blog is about my card making, but now and then I might add a few other things as well. Please read the Privacy Policy at the top of my blog. I would be honored though if you would like to CASE, Like or Pin them and give me the credit.

This is beautiful, Verna! Not only is the image perfect for your no line coloring, but it's perfect for a sympathy card. Our temps are really falling here so it must be heading your way. Hugs, Darnell
Absolutely gorgeous Verna. !! just into the pencil crayons and watercolour pencils here for the same reason. Hold them differently.
