Well, one type of card that is always in demand is sympathy cards it seems. And, the older I get the more those types are needed. So with that thought in mind I decided to use my new Altenew Garden Hydrangea set along with A Jillian Vance Design sentiment set called Simply Said: Sympathy. I like the big hydrangea for the focal image and I thought the large script sentiment worked well with it. Now the hydrangea is a multi-step set so please excuse if it is not perfectly aligned. Sometimes I have issues with that.
For the flower I used the Gina K. Designs ink colors: Powder Blue, Wild Wisteria, Wild Lilac and Edible Eggplant. I also used the Gina K. Designs inks Grass Green, Fresh Asparagus and Christmas Pine for the leaves. The sentiment was done with the Edible Eggplant. The stamp images were done using my MISTI so that I could get fairly good coverage. After coloring the images I took a white paint pen and put some dots in the centers of the hydrangea blossoms.
I fussy cut all of the leaves and the flower and then added them to my card base. The finishing touch was to add some blue rhinestones.
I am entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge- Fantastic Florals.
Well, here it is the beginning of the weekend already. And, I hardly got anything accomplished with card making this week. I best not waste too much time watching movies. LOL Some free previews were featured so we took advantage and watched a few of them. I understand there might be more this next week. I will try to confine it to the evening only. Whatever your plans I hope you have a great weekend. And, once again thanks for stopping in and for all the wonderful comments.
God bless,
Verna

I think it is beautifully stamped! Very pretty and the script of the sentiment is nice. Always a good idea to make these types of cards before you might need one.
I didn't get much cardmaking done this week either. Here's to a better week next time!
Oh you have THAT Hydrangea lol I am still holding out, as I have been buying here, there and everywhere. But isn't it glorious!!! This is a lovely sympathy card. So pretty!

This is a beauty Verna. You did a great job with the two step set and the fussy cutting!
I just got that stamp too, and between trying to line it up properly and finding the right color combination, it was a challenge. There is a learning curve and I find that it takes practice. You have nailed it here, your card is beautiful. The best thing about the stamp is that it can be the focal and not much else is needed to make the card gorgeous, as you have done here!
Turned out great! I have had a hard time lining up Altenew stamps but ypu have it down!
Great card. Thanks for the colour combos. And enjoy the movies !!
That's a beautiful card, Verna. I love Altenew stamps too.
