As you know I have been taking part in the 2017 Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and one of the sponsors is Jessica Lynn Originals. That stamp company offered a free digital image and that is what I am using for this card.
I went really simple with this card. After I had moved the digital image to a Word Doc. I then sized it to my desire and printed it out. In fact, I printed out a whole sheet of them as I think this could work for many types of cards. I used the Bic Mark-It Pens to color in the image. Then I die cut it with a Cottage Cutz Double Stitched Rectangle set. I also die cut another layer with the die using black card stock to make a frame. After they were all adhered together I added it to a white card base. I originally was not going to add a sentiment but since I needed more Easter cards I opted to add a greeting from a Gina K. Designs set called Springtime Baskets.
I really am happy the way this one colored for me. Sometimes I find that my printer ink will smear when I use any type of markers so most of the time I go with colored pencils when using digis. I think I lucked out with this one.
I am also entering this in the Word Art Wednesday Blog Challenge.
Well, I hope some of your will try to enter a few cards into the challenge as there are oodles of prizes being offered. And, there are lots of free digis so even if you don't win a major prize you still get some thing wonderful.
Well, I am almost done with my Spring coffee offerings. I think I have one more to go and then I plan on just doing the hop. I hope you are having a great weekend too.
God bless,
Verna

Vera, you are right when you say that the image could be used for many different occasions and I like the way you colored it with the Bic Mark-It pens;it makes the cup look antique. Did you color it in using a circle technique? Doing the white, black and then the white again sure makes the images the recipient focus on the image. Love it!!
So pretty with beautiful coloring!
