Back To Valentines!

Today I got back into my Valentine making mode. And, this time I used some lovely die cuts that were gifted to me in a Christmas package from another stamping friend. I had meant to use some of them before but time had a way of getting by me. But today I used a few of them along with some other dies I had received from another friend and my lovely sentiment from Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 6 which is illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. Two cards were made in similar fashion but with slightly different branches and backgrounds.

Dies used on the black background one are the Heart Chain Border from Memory Box, the leafy branch from Impression Obsession, and the bird from Quick Kutz. I used Gina K. Designs Cherry Red card stock, white card stock and a lightly patterned paper which is almost completely black and which is from My Mind's Eye, I added a red gingham ribbon and some red rhinestone bling to finish this card.

The second card uses floral pattern paper from Echo Park. Again the bird on the branch die is from Impression Obsession and I again used the Heart Chain Border from Memory Box. I chose not to add a ribbon to this one but did add some red rhinestone bling again to the sentiment. The card stock of choice this time was Gina K. Designs Cherry Red and Ivory.

I am so thankful for those lovely die cuts and dies that were gifted to me. They worked beautifully on these Valentines. I think these cards have a bit more masculine look to them too! I have some other ideas in mind for other die cuts I received too, so don't be surprised if I upload more in the next week or so.

Well, I hope all are having a wonderful weekend. And, thanks for stopping by.

God bless,
Verna

Wow, girl, I can't keep up with you. You make wonderful cards in no time. These are good examples of your craft. I bet I know who you got the die cuts from. I am enjoying mine too. That was such a very nice thing for her to do and for you to use them on your cards.

Yep - we have some wonderful, generous friends, don't we? I, too, can guess who those die cuts came from. Was just thinking the other day that I have to pull mine out and start using them. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the black, white and red together. ALWAYS a winner in my book. Great layouts here, and beautiful cards!!!

Oh Verna, these are just delightful! I love the variation on the color scheme and the bird and branch in the background is a nice shabby/romantic touch.

I know what you mean about generous friends. It's humbling to know there are good people out there and we have the good fortune of having them in our lives. Another reason to be grateful. Love both cards and they'll definitely work for the men in our lives.
