I decided I wanted to do another card using my initial and this time I chose to make this card. And, the initial "V" is for vase this time.
It is done in a clean and simple style and once again I decided to go with the black to showcase my vase of pretty blooms. My vase of flowers and the sentiment are from the Gina K. Designs A Little Something stamp set. I used Gina K. Designs black ink to stamp the flowers and the saying and I colored in my image with Copic markers. I tried to make the vase look like the light was shining on it with a white paint marker and then I went over it with a gray Copic. I never know for sure how to do that sort of thing, so hope it doesn't look too bad! LOL
My Spellbinder Majestic Labels 25 set was used to cut out the black card stock frame and also the inner portion with the closed center. The inner white center was originally on a white card stock panel but I wanted to have it backed by the black and with a border so I fussy cut around it. I am not that good at fussy cutting but I think it does not look too bad.
I finished the card by adding some red rhinestones along each side of the framed image.
This will be entered into the Mix It Up Monday Challenge in which one was to use a card theme using the initial of your username.
We are having lots of fog today and the higher humidity is affecting my joints, so guess I will just not do too much more. I have to run a lot here and there to get the supplies I want as they are stored in various places around the house. One of the down sides of no craft room for sure. But then again making a card does make one forget they have pain.
You have a great rest of the day. Stay warm and cozy!
God bless,
Verna

You are on a roll girl, another gorgeous card. I love using black, it makes images pop more, to me any way :)
What a classy design Verna! Love the die cut and splash of color. You are so sweet to visit me and leave me comments. I still have the ATCs and beautiful bird card you sent me! Take care Sister and STAY POSITIVE! Sending warm hugs from the cold Midwest.XXOO
Oooh. Very pretty. Fun concept, doing a card with your initial!
Lovely design Verna! Love how you've framed the vase. Great idea.
hugs, Asha
They get better and better. Glad that you were inspired to make another card as this is fantastic. Love the colors, this is a stand alone card. I am in the same predicament as you as I have no craft room here while in Florida. Everything is put away as the grand kids are coming today. What fun. I'll be crafting next week along with you.
Super cute, super beautiful. I really, really love this card. And you nailed the challenge again! You also nailed that shiny effect on the vase, it totally looks dimensional and bright. Well done........again!!!
Pretty card, Verna! I think you did a good job on the Vase! Don't you have a underused shed on that farm of yours or an extra bedroom you could create a craft room in? It felt so good yesterday being out in my shed, even if it was messy.
Gorgeous!
I like the die cuts and the black, white and red colours. Nice card!
This is stunning! That die really highlights your gorgeous vase and the colors you chose are so classy. Great shading/coloring as well.
