Today I made a last minute entry for the Mod Squad Blog Challenge for this week which is entitled Marvelous Marbling. I found a way to do it with the MISTI on Splitcoast Stampers so went that route to make it a quick and easy design.
Now this was my first attempt at this technique so not sure I got it completely right but it does sort of show some marbling in the design. My stamps of choice for the rose were from Gina K. Designs Pressed Flowers set by Melanie Muenchinger. Also the sentiment is from a Gina K. Designs illustrated by Melanie and is available on the Wild Flowers set.
All inks used are from Gina K. Designs. I arranged my rose and leaf stamps on the MISTI and then stamped all them first in Lemon Drop Yellow on white card stock. Next I added Peach Bellini randomly on the rose stamp and again pressed this onto the paper. Lastly I added some Cranberry Tart and stamped that.
Next I worked on the leaves which had been first stamped in the yellow too. I then added some Jellybean Green and later some Christmas Pine. By masking I was able to add another leaf by the rose as well using first the yellow and then adding my darker green tones.
My sentiment was then stamped in black ink from Gina K. Designs. And, the finishing touch after I had added this panel to Peach Bellini card stock was to add a few green pearls.
With the MISTI this went really fast. I think I might have to try this again. And, one must use a bold type image to make it look right.
I am also entering this in the Mix It Up Monday challenge at Stamp TV which is entitled Short on Time. This really fit the category for making a quick card I thought.
Thanks for looking and I stopping by. Have a great day.
God bless,
Verna
This blog is about my card making, but now and then I might add a few other things as well. Please read the Privacy Policy at the top of my blog. I would be honored though if you would like to CASE, Like or Pin them and give me the credit.

Nice card, Verna! Yes, you could do all things! =0)
turned out good Verna, better luck at it than this person had when trying :) Nice card
This a beautiful card, Verna. I think it turned out well. Keeping the design clean and simple sets the stage for the rose. The scripture verse is one that turn to several times daily. Thank you for sharing it with everyone.
hugs Asha
