Today I am working with products from My Favorite Things for my Christmas card design. I used the sentiment and the little snowflake present design from the LJD-54 Trim the Tree stamp set and also used a die from the Die-Namics MFT-986 Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges.
I went with the traditional colors of red and green but used varied reds and greens for my card design. I matched my inks as best I could to the card stocks I had chosen and created my own pattern paper design by stamping the little package randomly in the various colors onto the front of the white base card.
Next I chose one of the dies from the set and made a design with those reds and greens by cutting the scalloped edges and then layering them. These I placed at the top and on the white top layer I added the sentiment from the stamp set.
I really like this simple card design and I found with these color choices it seemed quite festive in nature. At any rate, I had fun making it.
This card will be entered in the following challenges:
Scrapy Land {Challenge #49} Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-Stamp It
My Favorite Things You Could Be a Card Design Superstar Contest-2016
Well, I hope your Sunday is a wonderful one. I went to church this morning for the first time since my surgery and it was so nice to be able to join in worshiping. I am really feeling much like my old self now and for that I am so very grateful. God is good!
Thanks for stopping by.
God bless, Verna
