I played with a layering stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps called Hearts & Roses and made a sympathy card to put in my stash so when needed it will be already made. I think it turned out fairly well too.
I wanted them to be a deeper red but apparently the ink pads I chose gave me a lighter version. But even so I love them. Layering stamps sure do give more of a realistic look I think.
I am entering this in the Double D Challenge-Flowers of the Month January -June. I chose the rose because that is my birth month flower.
And speaking of roses I had a delivery by Fed Ex today with a beautiful bouquet of roses and cala lilies from my son and family in Japan. I had to take a photograph so that when they do wilt away I can still see my pretty flowers in the picture I took.
God bless, Verna

very pretty! I need to make more for my stash too.
Your blooms are gorgeous!
It turned out beautifully! I love the layering sets but they are not always easy for me. This is gorgeous and so is the bouquet you received! You are truly loved!
Beautiful card, it's wonderful even if lighter than expected. And your bouquet is equally wonderful - what a joy to receive from your son!
Beautiful card Verna, the roses turned out brilliantly. What a fabulous bouquet your received too and a great idea to take a photo for when they have wilted. xx
So great to see you stamping. The reds do look great and so does the the script on that sentiment. Very clever to layer with the green yet pops of bling in the red.
What a lovely bouquet of flowers from you family and on your card. [Bunny]
Beautiful card Verna, both the card and the vase! Thank you for joining my challenge at Double D!

Seems the older we get, the more of these cards we need. Sigh... What a beautiful card, Verna! I think the color of the rose is perfect! And how sweet of your family in Japan to send you such a lovely bouquet! Happy Mother’s Day, dear friend!

This is just gorgeous, Verna! I have always loved how Kitchen Sink stamps turn out. Your bouquet arrived in nice condition for Mother's Day. My son called today to ask if my Mother's Day gift arrived yet. It was supposed to be here Saturday, but nothing yet. Just can't count on things like that these days.
Wowza!! Another one! I'll have to check out those stamps although layered ones can make me cry...lol! Gorgeous card!
Awesome, almost looks like a photo! I find layering stamps a pain in the butt. Staying away from them......but I admire people who use them as well as you do!
