Easter Chick

I have made another card using magazine ads for the Mod Squad Blog Challenge for this week which is entitled Magazine Madness. When making your card design you are to use something from a magazine on the card. I chose this design and pieced different parts of various ads on to color in the image.

The only place where I used markers were on the beak, the feet and the center of the flowers but first I had to use a white pen to lighten them up so the orange marker would show. The rest of the design is all pieced in. Everything was embossed with black fine detail embossing powder and heat set, even the portions of the ads I fussy cut and glued on.

I finished the card then by stamping the sentiment in black ink and heat embossing it before adding some black and white gingham ribbon.

This was a long process as it takes a long time to stamp each little portion and then fussy cut it out. Even the gluing on can be tricky as you have to place it pretty much in line with the original stamped image.

Thanks for stopping by again. I always love to see your comments too and I thank you dearly.

God bless,
Verna

Oh, well done. I would not have thought to use the magazine to paper piece!! I thought you colored the image in with markers - you clever girl. You really did nail this challenge, thanks so much for playing along with me this week over at Mod Squad!!!

Wonderful take on the challenge. I would never have attempted something this delicate, but it was worth the time and energy. Too cute.
