Easter Lily With Doily

I took a little bit of time to create another Easter card today. I am entering this one in the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog challenge in which we are to use a doily die. I also used the lily and sentiment from the Easter Lily set by Inspired by Stamping.

I used the Zig water color pens to color the lily and then I fussy cut it out and set it aside until I had the doily die and the cross dies ready for the card design. The cross design die is one I purchased last year to use on Easter cards this year and it is made by a no longer in business company called Top Dog Dies. And, I decided since I had originally planned to use that die I would go ahead anyway even if it is no longer available.

I wanted a smaller doily to place behind the cross dies and the smallest I could find was in fact a snowflake doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs but I think it works especially when I added the corner die elements to the card.

Once I had all the layers added to the card I finished it by stamping the sentiment and adding some off white pearls. Oh, the white doily and the corner elements are die cut from Stardream card stock and they therefore have a pearly finish. I thought the off white pearls would go great with that card stock. I hope that one of the photos will show a bit of the shimmer of that card stock.

Well, that is my all of the card making I will be doing today. I am in a baking frenzy as this coming Saturday is a church fund raiser bake sale. So I better get with the program. Today I think I will be making Macadamian Nut cookies. I hope they turn out okay. Sometimes I think I have lost my baking touch as I so seldom do it anymore. LOL

I wish you a great start to your week. Until next time, take care.

God bless,
Verna

This is gorgeous Verna! Love the lilies with the cross behind. The corners are so pretty too. I thought I was a follower, but maybe I wasn't, however, I am now!
