There is an awesome frame stamp from Gina K. Designs which is a great base for doing a gorgeous card design and it can be done for any occasion. I chose a Christmas theme. This frame stamp is available in the Fabulous Frames set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. I chose to do some piecing with pattern papers from Gina K. Designs and also to do some stamping of the nativity scene images from the City of David set from Gina K. Designs.
The nativity scene was stamped directly on to the pattern paper. I stamped those silhouette stamps in Gina K. Designs Christmas Pine dye ink. With an oval die from Cheery Lynn Designs I cut out the sentiment which is authored personally by me and printed out with my computer. Then around the sentiment I added Mini Gem Lines stickers to frame it. I think those tiny little gems are hard to place by my arthritic fingers as it seems I got them sort of crooked. But, that is okay too! I still like it.
My inside of the oval design and the outer parts of the frame were colored with Bic Mark-It alcohol ink pens.
We are still waiting for the wind, cold and snow to arrive. I thought I would work on a Christmas card today instead of baking. I wanted to use this City of David set again even though I used it many times last year and the year before. It is a favorite of mine as well as the new frame sets.
I hope you are having a good Saturday. I know mine is going quite well and I seem to be in a holiday mood as well today. But I resisted putting the Christmas CDs on. I will try to wait until after Thanksgiving to do that. LOL
Take care and God bless,
Verna

Perfect background paper to stamp on :)
I absolutely adore this card! It's simple and very classy.

I just love the Fabulous Frame stamp set, and you have used it perfectly here. Great inspiration! Love the paper piecing, (I do that a lot with this stamp) and I also love how you have created that little scene at the bottom with the Christmas stamps. So many possibilities, I love everything about this!
You did a wonderful job on this card Verna. I love your verse that you made and was trying to figure out which set it came from until I read your comment. Do you know which font you used to print it out with? I am always looking for a font that looks cursive. A beautiful job on the whole card.
How pretty this is, Verna! Love the scene, and the pretty sketch used in creating the design of your card! xo
Love the layout and how you stamped on the paper. such a versatile frame stamp
The stamp set you used is beautiful. Love that you stamped directly on the patterned paper. I tend to shy away from doing that. I need to do it too. Beautiful card.
Verna, Love the scene you created and the design too! Sounds like you are in the Christmas Spirit! Good for you!
You had me at the Fabulous Frame, I adore that set. What a great card!
