Celebration Card

I sure like an easy card with lots of bright colors and this ended up being that kind of card. For the background I simply took mini ink cubes of a rainbow of colors and swiped them on white card stock. Then I stamped the sentiments in black over the background. I layered onto black card stock and then I added it to the yellow card base. I thought this card would work for many types of celebration.

Thanks always for your sweet words of encouragement.

CAS Card

Another CAS card made today. Yesterday I read a book which I finished this morning so this afternoon I got an Altenew Mini Delight: Bold Blooms stamp set out and made this card. I used my Prismacolors to add color to the design.

I hope all of you have a great weekend. We have company and my daughter brought a few more card making supplies in. I had her bring my Altenew Blossom die cutting machine so now I can cut small dies.

Well take care everyone. God bless, Verna

CAS Winter Scene

 *Altenew

Using some Altenew mini stamp sets I created this CAS scene inside a circle made with a round stencil. The inks were varied shades of gray from Rubbernecker.  Stamp sets used were Winter Cottage, Snowing and Pine Tree.  And of course the Misti was employed again.

At first I wasn’t too happy with it as I thought it too plain but it has grown on me and now I like it. And I love that I can do simple cards with those mini sets.

Thanks for the visit and God bless, Verna

Altenew Mini Stamp Sets

#Altenew

I was so happy when I recalled I had a few tiny stamp sets from Altenew. I realized they would not take up a lot of room so now I am doing some stamping as well on my cards. I had to use my Misti too as I needed to ink up several times to get a good impression. And of course my original idea got messed up as usual but with some doodling I managed to pull the card together.

I don’t have any markers at the nursing home but I did have a black ink pen which I used for the dots and outlines on the edges. The name of the stamp set is called Mini Delight: Strength.

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement you give me with your comments. I truly appreciate them. You are wonderful friends.

Take care and God bless, Verna

Bearded Iris

For this card I used the Iris layering stamp from Altenews Build a Flower Bearded Iris stamp set. I messed up making it but with the help of some colored pencils I hope it isn’t too noticeable. This stamp set arrived shortly before I got so sick so one day I requested my daughter to bring the set to me just in case I felt strong enough to use it. I hope you like it. I also added a design using an Altenew Watercolour Stripes stencil and made it going two ways to create a plaid or gingham look. I thought that made a great background.

The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs. I colored some white card stock with a lavender ink pad and used that as a backing for the sentiment. Inside I added Happy Birthday. The inks I used were from Rubbernecker.

Thanks for the visit and I am so glad for your sweet comments. Have a great week.

God bless, Verna

More Stenciling

I felt up to being creative so I made another simple card using a stencil from Artplorations which is a division of Stamplorations. Right now the owner (Shari) is very ill so only the digital images can be ordered from her website. I hope she can beat this breast cancer and be able to enjoy life again. She was on my mind and in my prayers so this card is made in her honor.

I intentionally left a sentiment off and am waiting to add a sentiment when I need one for a specific occasion. It is nice to have blank places on cards that will work for this way.

Well I wish you all well. Take care and God bless, Verna

Getting Dark Outside

I was curious to see if I could create a cloudy night sky by using a brushed ink background and some stencils. So luckily I had a cloud stencil and some flowers on a stencil with me at the care center so I could make a simple scene.

Thanks for your positive feedback to my other attempts trying to make cards with limited supplies. I sure do miss my stash at home but will do my best trying to have fun at least.

God bless, Verna

I Can’t Draw

 Greetings Everyone,

Another card done with my limited supplies. I used a Crafters Companion stencil for my background. The inks used were Color Fuse cubes from The Rubbernecker. The sentiment I took from a set from Gina Marie.

The tie I hand drew so that explains how stupid It looks. And I wish I had my Gamsol to do the Prismacolors with better blending. Also my printing of # 1 Dad is very rugged looking but I am trying to convince myself it is more masculine looking. So far I am  still not succeeding. I chose shades of orange as for this son-in-law orange is his favorite color. At least one card is finished.

Thanks for the wonderful comments on my previous card. I am happy to being creative again. It is good therapy.

Take care and God bless, Verna
