Darnell has announced the theme for the Twofers Card Challenge #8 so I had to join in once again. This time we are to use a geometric die or stamp two different ways.
On both cards I used stamps from the Catherine Pooler Beautiful World Collection using the Catherine Pooler Geo Builders stamp set.
For the Christmas design I used Gina K. Designs Season's Greeting set and also the Just a Little stamp set. The foliage is not really an evergreen frond but I decided it looked very much like it so I used it and made some ornaments to hang from them.
For the thank you card I made the geometric design as a border and then I added the sentiment from the Catherine Pooler Beautiful World Collection using the Sugar Pea Designs-Enchanted Garden stamp set. I decided to make my layers a little wonky and I really am happy with the way they look too.
Well, it has been a busy last two weeks. Maybe I will manage to get another blog post in this week but it seems that with hubby and I taking turns with doctor appointments it means for a lot less crafting time. I hope all is well with all of you and thanks for visiting and for the lovely comments.
God bless,
Verna

Wow, what fabulous cards Verna! I love the Christmas one. I might not be pine boughs but I sure didn't notice-all I saw was ornaments hanging from a pine tree branch. Love how you took this shape and made it into ornaments! Your thank you card is so fun as well. Love the bright, summery colors. It is sure to brighten someone's day. Another great use for those diamonds. So loving them! Hugs, Brenda
You have again created wonderful designs for the Twofer Card Challenge, Verna! The diamond shaped ornaments look very festive and the border you've created for your Thank You card looks very modern! Great layout, too!
Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer!
Two gorgeous cards.xxx
Two great cards with geometrics. The Christmas card is just fun with the ornaments hanging from evergreen. The thank you is a clever use of the diamond shapes too. I hope you and hubby are doing well.
Well that's brilliant, Verna! Using the diamonds as ornaments is such a cool idea! Great card designs!
Spotted your darling pair over at Twofer - just love both your diamond cards! The diamonds make such cute ornaments & the border you created looks great!!
Wonderful designs Verna. You've done it once again using the stamp in a conventional and unconventional way. You are so clever!! Love the sweet Christmas tree ornaments hanging from the greenery. And your thank you card is fun and colourful. Two fantastic designs! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!
Your geometric designs are so great on both cards! I like the clever use of those diamonds to make them Christmas ornaments! Great thinking! Hope all is well with you and your husband. My hubby and I are both taking turns with doctor appointments lately too!
Such unique and wonderful cards. The stamp builder looks terrific.Fun idea to make the hanging baubles and the evergreen leaves really do the trick, they look great. Love the wonderful happy colours on both of your creative cards x Sorry about the doctors appointments x.
Again, 2 fabulously beautiful cards. I like the bold colors of the graphic design border, but I really liked #1 using the graphic design as ornaments under those lovely pine branches. You're really great at thinking out-of-the-box! TFS & Hugs
I thought you'd be busy with gardening instead of doctor appointments, Verna. I have been unable to be on the computer much, so I hope the appointments are routine and not that you are both ill!
I love what you thought of for your Twofer geometric designs! That cat's eye diamond shape makes a fantastic Christmas ornament (love those non-fir fronds you used!) and it works equally well as a colorful border on your wonky off-set Thank You design! Well done! Thank you for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell
You're so clever--love both of these!
wow! Fabulous two-fer with these diamond shapes, Verna! I love that you used two completely different seasonal occasions, yet similar color themes! Beautiful! hugs, de
You are so good at this challenge! The way you see so many things in one image... LOVE how you've used this geometric shape!
What cute and colorful cards, Verna! Those sure do look like evergreen branches and I was trying to think what else they could be. Maybe palm fronds? I love those decorative diamonds as Christmas ornaments! They look like stained glass and very likely. Turn around and use them as a border on your thank you card and they don't look like Christmas ornaments at all! Clever you! You had the perfect stamps for this challenge and made the perfect cards!
I do look forward to seeing your twofer cards you always do an amazing job!
great graphic looking cards...I really like the look.
xx Karen
How clever of you to use the geometric shape as a Christmas tree ornament. You are so good at thinking out of the box.
