Okay, right off the bat I will confess I love shaker cards but am a poor maker of them. But I had this leftover negative of the turkey card I had made earlier in the week so I decided it looked like it could be a shaker one. And that big opening took a lot of shaker elements to make it even appear when it was standing upright so I took another photo showing more of the sequins, beads and other things that were added.
I could not find a frame that would fit that odd size shaker opening so I instead just added some leaves and some metal sticker decor. The pattern paper is some I had in my stash for years so I have no idea which company made it.
The supplies used are:
Turkey Die-Cheery Lynn Designs
Filigree Leaf Die, card stock and sentiment-Gina K. Designs
Shaker Filler-Mix of Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends
Scotch Double Stick Photo Tape
Mark Richards Nailhead Stickers
I am entering this in the following challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge-Thanks or Thankful
Dies R Us Challenge #133-Give Thanks and/or Turkey
Artsystamper Challenge-Give Thanks
I am glad I made another Thanksgiving card as I ran short so this will be going out in the mail really soon. Thanks for visiting and I may be missing in action a lot from now on but I wanted to get a few more cards done. If time permits in the next couple weeks I will try to make and post some things I have done ahead of time. Take care until then.
God bless,
Verna

What a stunning card Verna and so very creative. I have only ever made one shaker card and I am in awe of this amazing creation x. I am away for three weeks so I will catch up on my return x.
This is an amazing card - Yes - Acetate works! You did great! Thanks for coming to Mod Squad and creating for the challenge - Have a blessed week - PS I will add acetate to the posting - thanks for your message! Blessings!
What a great idea to use the negative from your previous project to create your shaker card! It came out great!
Really fun card, Verna! I love shakers! The leaf die-cuts are gorgeous!
What a great idea to make the turkey negative into a shaker! I love how they look, but rarely make them. This looks great, and it doesn't even need a frame. I'd like to make one more Thanksgiving card, but now I've got my hands full with other things. I did mail all my cards yesterday. Good luck with your Thanksgiving preparations and don't wear yourself out!
Oh what a fun card!
Wonderful idea to make a shaker card with the leftover turkey shape! It did take a lot of shaker items, but the finished product looks great!
This is so fun! What a great idea to use the negative and make it in to a shaker. The leaves and stickers make for a lovely frame!
I stink with making shaker cards too, but this one is so much fun with the big turkey shaker and all those sparkly sequins inside! Love those nailheads on the side too! Fun card!
Great mix of things in your shaker card and a fun way to use that turkey image up. I think you are very resourceful. Have a great Thanksgiving with your family.
I think this turned out very well! Maybe you are not as bad at making these as you think! I love how you framed the turkey and all the elements framing it are just right for the season. I, too, like the look but I almost never make a shaker. I’m not sure what it is holding me back.
WOW! This is so creative and beautiful Verna! Great job! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Dies R Us challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Fun turkey shaped shaker :)
What a cute fun shaker card with the turkey die cut! Love the pretty leaves, too! Thanks so much for joining us at Dies R Us for the challenge!
fun shaker card and a great way to use the negative portion of a die cut. I'm hopeless with shakers and admire anyone who makes one. I do much better with fun folds than I do with this type of technique.
Nice job using that negative and making a fantastic card! Love the leaves and all the shaker bits too
Well, you know I love shaker cards and now you've made me want that die! It is SO cool... I love that you can still totally tell it's a turkey even without all of the detail... what a great idea to use that negative!
What a fun shaker! I just love them and I hardly ever make any. You are inspiring me to get on the go and get one done!
This is great Verna, What a fun turkey shaker
Yay! Love seeing this card in our Artsystamper Digitals Challenge...thanks for entering, Verna!
How clever to make your negative of the turkey into a shaker card, Verna! Lovely leafy elements and perfect patterned paper make this a super cool card!
