May 2020 Rudolph Days Challenge

I used a tree I got in a prize package to create this Christmas scene. It was die cut or silhouette cut from plaid card stock and I had to think a long time on how to make use of it. Well I finally decided to just make it into a scene and the end result was this. This is my entry for the May 2020 Rudolph Days Challenge.

I used blending brushes to add some color to the dusty peach ribbed card stock card base and also added some color to the plaid tree in a light green. I took some scraps of Ivory card stock and made some snow banks for the background of the tree. The last things I did then was to add some sequins to the tree and also some snowflake sequins in the sky area. The sentiment was one from a stamp set I won a few years back and it is from the Art-C brand.

Very non-traditional in design but I really still like it.  I hope you like it as well. And have a great Memorial Day! Those normal events for this day are on hold here so we are having a really quiet one.

Take care everyone!

God bless,
Verna

This was a great use of the die cut tree. I love how you used peach and not pushed the red. Very nice!

I love this plaid tree. 'it has a homey and rustic Christmas feel!

I think plaid is very traditional at Christmas so your card with the scene you have created for your tree, looks great!
The sequins and jewels finish it off so nicely.

Thanks for taking part in the May Rudolph Days Challenge.

A plaid Christmas tree! Would have never thought of that, but I LOVE it! Such a cool idea! Maybe I should use some PP every once in a while?
