Waiting For Santa

While waiting for Santa they soon fell asleep so when Santa arrived they heard not a peep!

That is the message I am trying to convey with this little scene I made with the House Mouse Candle Light Vigil stamp set. I colored them with Prismacolor and Gamsol and then placed them among the evergreens surrounding the edge of the card. I had to fussy cut a bit of the evergreens to give the illusion of them being nestled more among them.

The pattern paper is from the Noel Paper Pad from American Crafts. I thought that beautiful paper was the perfect thing to use with them.

I am entering this in the HMFMC #316-Always Anything Goes/optional theme "Pastel Colors". I am not using the optional theme.

I hope all of you had a great Mother's Day weekend. We had a wonderful one with the visit of our youngest grandchildren. And, they were not shy about giving hugs especially Jack who is the youngest. We helped Anna with some school work and while she did that Jack had some crayons and a coloring book to use. So he thought he was doing school work too. They also got lots of tractor rides and spent lots of time swinging with the swing set that we bought years ago for our own kids to play on. And, they helped Grandpa feed the kitties in the barn too. I guess when they got home their Mom said they were both so tuckered out from all the fun they  had.

Then later in the weekend we also heard from all our other children and their families. I was remembered with a hydrangea bush we can plant out, also two hanging pots with geraniums in them and some beautiful cards.

Well until next time please take care. And, now we have three cases in our county so we will be extra cautious when going out among people. I hope your week is off to a great start.

God bless,
Verna

This is a cute image. I love how they are snuggled together waiting for Santa. Looks like someone is going to have to blow out the candle. It's a cute Christmas card. Thank you for joining us at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge. {Bunny} Designer for House Mouse and Friends

Oh what a gorgeous card Verna - love those wee mice and how you have them amongst the branches.
So glad you had some time with family - our lock down is being gradually lifted, so I have been able to visit with family, and on Thursday I can go see a friend!! And buy a coffee if I want, but I will be cautious!
Stay safe

Oh my gosh, I just ADORE those cute little mice. And it's genius to surround the card with the greenery to make the focal pop. Really wonderful card.

Your card is just adorable! They do look like they fell asleep waiting for Santa. We are still social distancing here, so our family had a Zoom Mother's Day, with three generations! My husband picked up some take-out Chinese food, so I didn't have to cook! Glad you had a great weekend.
