Mega Flowers Birthday

Another challenge called for the Perfectly Pantone colors of yellow and gray again so this time I used the Gina K. Designs Mega Flowers stencil and the Gina K. Designs Wishes stamp and die set. I blended the shades of yellow with my brushes on the stenciled design and then took a gray marker to add some dots to the centers of each flower. I also used a marker to add color to a separation in the stenciled design where I added the sentiment from the Wishes set. I drew the attention more to the sentiment by using some rhinestones for a border. And, the big Wishes die was stamped in gray and then die cut out and placed below the rest of the sentiment. All was layered to a piece of slate card stock and then to a white card base.

I chose to make a regular slimline design. My stencil was not long enough to fit the whole panel so that was where I got the idea to add the sentiment over the area that was left blank.

Well, it is a chilly day again. We had one day of 85+ temps and not it is in the 60's again. Such is Spring in South Dakota I guess!

Take care and see you next time!

God bless, Verna

What a fabulous slim line card with wonderful blending and I like how you managed to overcome the length of the stencil Verna x.

These Pantone colors sure are making their way into many challenges recently. I understand why as I love this combo. Your slimline card is a great example of how to extend your supplies. I love that banner with the sentiment. We are setting off for our trip back home to Wisconsin and I sure hope it's not too cold.

Very pretty used of those colors in your slimline card! Our temps are like yours here in PA, weird spring weather this year!

This is a lovely card. The colors are great.

I do wish we had cooler weathers. Ours are already cranking up to 90. I'm not looking forward to summer. At all. [Bunny]

Yup - that temp yo yo seems to be the trend right now. We are experiencing the same in Michigan. I love your card, the sponging with the stencil is GENIUS. It really makes this card, as do the stippled flower centers. Wonderful design, you have nailed the slimline look!!!!

Beautiful! Great idea to put your greeting in the space where the stencil did not reach. Love the gray details you added to your sponged flowers.
