Independence Day Card

I have been working on the Fourth of July cards for my shut-ins and this is one of them I did. All I made are very CAS but I still like them. The stripe stamp is from a Gina K. Designs set called Tiny Textures and the bell and sentiments are from A Jillian Vance Design set called Cross Stitch Freedom.

I finished the card design by adding some negative swirly stars I had saved from another die cut design. I thought they worked perfectly with the theme.

I am entering this in the Double D Challenge-Signs of Summer. I chose to use the patriotic colors shown on the inspiration photo.

Thanks for the visit. I love to read the comments too. They mean so much to me. I hope you can find a way to keep following my blog posts. The new email Follow It at the top right of my blog will be an option for you too!

Take care and God bless, Verna

A delightful card Verna - love that it is so "different" to a lot of the Independence Day cards that I have seen. The cross stitched bell is a great focal point

What a kind idea to make these for the shut-ins that you know. This is a wonderful card and we should not forget about that summer holiday. I get your blog on Follow it, and in the usual way. I guess until Feedburner goes away. Thanks for joining us at Double D Challenges too

I love the look of this. It's simply fabulous, sometimes clean and simple is best. I have never seen a cross stitch stamp like that before, it's really cool.
