You Gotta Wear Shades

Yes with the temperatures soaring into the 90’s this weekend and a few days later 100 degrees I am sure many will hit the lakes and swimming pools to try and cool off. With that thought in mind I made this card using the Altenew Spectacular Adventures layering stamp set. I hope you like my beach scene.

I stamped the design and colored it. Then I made a mask by stamping the glasses again on another sheet of paper and then cutting out the glass from that image. This made my mask which I put over the original so I could add a light brushing of gray with my blending brush. I like the way it turned out.

I also had won some shell sequins which I thought was perfect bling for a beach scene card. I added them as well as a sentiment from that same stamp set.

I hope you who are able to visit a beach or pool remember the suntan lotions and your sunglasses. Remember you gotta wear shades. LOL

I am entering this in the Double D’s challenge.

Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments.

God bless, Verna

What a fun card for summer with those great stamped shades! Love those shell accents too! We turned our air conditioning off this morning as our highs are going to be in the mid 60s. Cool for summer, but I much prefer having the windows open with fresh air whenever I can! Enjoy your weekend and I hope you're making progress!

Wow, how stinkin' creative. I love how you have colored the glasses, they look almost real. Mounting them on the clean and simple background really makes them pop!! This is just spectacular!!!!

This is so cute and clever. The beach scene inside the glasses is so fun and adding the seashells is so cute. Wish I was closer to the beach.
