Red! You Bet!

A retired farmer friend of ours is celebrating his 85th birthday and since he collects and restores the red International/Farmall type tractors I decided to make his birthday card showing a farmer on a red tractor. I hope he likes it. I had a fun time making it.

I used the Penny Black Life is Simpler stamp set on the card and colored the image in with Prismacolor and Gamsol. I also took a Stampenback stencil and added some clouds to the design. It is a no layer card but I had debated whether or not to frame it but in the end decided to just leave it this way.

Thanks for the visit. And come back soon. I love to see your comments too.

God bless,
Verna

What a fabulous masculine, one layer card Verna and both of these really challenge me! I bet your friend really appreciates how you personalised it to his interests.

Yes, giving up my Russell Stover chocolate candy made with stevia and my favorite Quik Trip Peach Tea was indeed hard. smile! My husband ordered some carob powder for me though through online Walmart to be delivered to our local store and I'm finding lots of recipes to use it with at Pinterest. I've posted some of my substitute finds in previous posts. Thank you for your comment. Made my day. By the way, love the tractor. Joshua used to describe his great-grandpa as the "grandpa with the tractor." Thanks for the memory.
