The hearts I used on my cards are from the Gina K. Designs Small Double Stitched Circle die. With that set is a nice fun open heart design which when die cut leaves an open heart and a solid heart.
Using these hearts I made a golden anniversary card. I used a sentiment from Tonic Studios which was cut from gold glitter paper from Stampin' Up! I also used ivory card stock for the base and the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossed panel. On the Swiss Dots panel I added my glittery sentiment and the open part of the hearts and made them to look like two heart rings joined together. I framed the panel then with a My Favorite Things Die-Namic Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frame using the glitter paper as well.
The Thinking of You card also used those same heart dies but they were instead cut from scraps of pattern paper and card stock and made to look like butterflies. The Gina K. Designs Large Single Stitched oval die was cut from white card stock and then onto that surface was stamped the sentiment from Gina K. Designs. Next on that same oval panel I added the butterflies and used some gems to add the body to each. The antlers were hand drawn by me. This was all added to a black card stock base. And in each corner of the card I added a decorative die from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I am not really into a card making mood but I found it does help me keep my mind off my little grandson who is getting some better but still has some breathing issues. But I guess as long as he making progress that is a good thing. He is still in the NICU at this time.
Thanks for your visits and also for all the good wishes and prayers for Jack. I so appreciate each of you.
God bless,
Verna

You done it again with stretching your product by using your heart in an unexpected way, Verna! Your Golden Anniversary card is everything a Golden Anniversary card should be! You got such an awesome clean cut on that intricate and glittery sediment die and I love the scalloped frame in gold with the embossed Swiss dot background and overlapping hearts!
And then, wallah! Butterflies made from hearts! How fun is that?! And PLAID butterflies, no less ~ my favorite kind! I love the oval panel and the pretty corners on the black card base! Excellent Twofers!!
I'm keeping Jack in my prayers. I'm sorry to hear that he hasn't been released yet. Thank you for keeping us posted on his progress. I can imagine how heavy your heart is with worry and I'm sure it helps to know that he has a lot of people pulling for him! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell
Thanks for the update on Jack and I'm glad to hear he is doing better. He is right where he needs to be for now and he is in my prayers. Your cards are so unique. I love the anniversary card, it is so beautiful. How cute are those butterflies in plaid! Great use of your dies.
Oh I like these heart cards! Once again, you've thought 'out of the box' with the heart butterflies! Both of these 'heart' cards are delightful, and while #1 is just elegant in the gold glitz, I am loving the plaid centers of the yellow heart butterflies. I like the way you've done the corners. Hope the weekend saw that little Jack is strengthened with his breathing and improving hour by hour. Big hugs, and TFS.
So gorgeous! Both are great and the gold one is so striking and elegant
Two gorgeous cards.xxx

Vern, these cards are so beautiful and fabulous! I love the elegant look of the Anniversary card and those entwined looking hearts. But it is your other card that has me looking very hard at it.
