Well, it was a "given" that I would need to enter this challenge for sure as I recently got a new coffee stamp and die set and this was the perfect opportunity to try them out. The stamps and dies I used are from Newton's Nook and are the Cuppa Cactus sets.
I used a white card base and then added a strip of green gingham paper from Gina K. Designs in the middle. Over this strip I popped up the two cactus designs. With the use of my MISTI I stamped the sentiments from the set in Gina K. Designs Amalgam black ink. The last thing I added was some enamel dots from Stampin' Up!
I hope that I colored the cactus images okay as I have not seen very many of them at all. I did see some succulents which was referred to as hen and chickens I think and some of them had a pinkish hue to them here and there. So I went with what my memory recalled about them.
This is going to be at least one entry for the Double D's Challenge.
Well, that most likely will do it for me in the crafting department. I am nursing an ingrown toe nail again so I don't like to be on it too much. It will be a couple weeks before I see the doctor so I am sort of babying it now. Have a great day and thanks for the visits.
God bless,
Verna

I'm a big fan of Newton's Nook - these are such cute cacti! Adorable cups too!
What a cute idea in this stamp set, I haven’t seen it before your card. I like the layout and the coloring. I grow some cacti and succulents and many of them turn pinkish on the edge if you give them full sun. The gingham paper works well here. Great card!
I think you colored your cactus beautifully, Verna! Love the little cups with the New Mexico patterns, the embellies, and the gingham panel! I'm so sorry to hear about your painful ingrown toenail. Take care and hugs!! Darnell
Love those cactus,just gorgeous.xxx
Oh my goodness, what fun stamps! This company seems to have such cute ones, and I keep adding more & more from them to my wish list. Some day I will actually buy a set! ;) You are right that these are the perfect thing for the challenge. I hope to play along. Thanks for letting me know!
