Let's Pop a "Wheelie"!

The title is the theme for the Double D's Challenge this time around and I must say when I made this card I "wheelie" had a good time doing it too! It was such a fun image to work with and I added it to another acrylic block background.

I used images from the Gina K. Designs Face To The Sun stamp set which included the sentiment and the girl on the bike image. I put the acrylic stamped design into my MISTI and then stamped the image and sentiment. Both needed to be re-stamped so I was so glad I had the MISTI working for me again. It seems I don't have the strength to get good impressions like I used to do. So that tool is a real asset for me.

I did not have a sun stamp so I took a snowflake from the Gina K. Designs Holiday Wreath Set as I thought it sort of resembled the rays of a sun. I tried my best to get some yellow in the upper corner for it when I did the acrylic background and I guess enough showed up so that it worked okay. I had to mask off the corner first though before I added the snowflake image.

Well, that will do it for me until next week I think. I worked most of the day with garden things and then I managed to finish this up. I had started it yesterday but ran out of steam. LOL I hope all of you are having a great weekend. We are having more Fall like days now with cool nights and moderate days with highs in the low 70's. Very nice weather in my opinion. Well, I will see you next time. Take care.

God bless,
Verna

This is so pretty, Verna! I love your acrylic block colors to mimic the sun, sky, and grass and it's a cool background for your beautiful cycling lady! Very innovative use of the snowflake, too! I hope your lovely weather continues - those are my kind of temps, too!! Hugs, Darnell

Wonderfully created Verna. I love silhouette stamps and this is no exception. The background you chose to use works perfectly with your scene and the sunny snowflake is so clever.

Yes Autumn is creeping in here too, in Scotland.
What a fabulous silhouette image on your gorgeous card and still loving those unique and marvellous acrylic block backgrounds. They are so unique, artsy and wonderful for backgrounds. What a fun idea to use the snowflake as your sun...so creative x.
I think its fantastic all the fruit and vegetables you grow in your garden. Such hard work but so worth it x.

Verna, you are rocking these 'acrylic block smooshing' backgrounds. Love the sentiment with this particular sihouette (although it's a great one for any card). Always enjoy how you think of the box so creatively...and it's a wonderful sun! TFS &Hugs

What a fantastic silhouette stamp that is, and it worked beautifully with your background. I really like the look you're getting with this technique. I was in the garden all day today. It's hard to make time for everything these days 'cause I run out of steam, too. A wonderful entry for the DD wheelie challenge!
