I made a last minute card design after lunch today to add to the Mod Squad Blog Challenge for this time around. Since I often need thank you cards I went and made one of those trying to use the theme of the challenge in the card design. The way I understand it one is to use a central big sentiment and then stamp images around it. My MISTI was employed for this card too.
I used the Stamplorations stamp set called Trendy Spring Blooms. The flowers were stamped using a Hero Arts Omber Spring Brights stamp pad and the Gina K. Designs Amalgam Jet Black ink pad for the outer layer, sentiment and the leaves. The last thing I did was to add some rhinestone gems using the same colors from the inks I had used.
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for the visit and for all the lovely comments you leave too. I am going to start writing and addressing Christmas cards this afternoon and listen to Christmas songs to keep me in the mood.
God bless,
Verna

Lovely card, Verna. The flowers are so striking framing the sentiment. xx
What an eye catching design and love the vibrancy of the colours you've used against the striking black.Wonderful stamping and fabulous card x. Hope you managed to write some cards? x
Great use of the ombre ink pad--I never seem to be able to use mine. Beautiful card!
Love this bold design!

Your card is beautiful. I love the flowers, they are awesome.
This is very beautiful! Yes, you did this correctly - thanks for linking up at Mod Squad - best wishes in the draw!
Ya gotta love that Misti!! : ) Beautiful design Verna. I love the bright colors in contrast to the black : )
Beautiful thank you card Verna, what a great technique and use of the larger sentiment. I'll have to remember this one. I've had the hallmark type Christmas movies playing in the background as I've been making Christmas cards... and of course singing Christmas songs. It keeps me in the holiday mood.
Super fun Thankful card!
Wow this ones a beauty! Great card verna!
