Winter Wonderland

This evening I made a quick card using some Sparkle N Sprinkle (no longer in business) stamp sets which were designed by Jan Mahew to make a simple winter scene. I am entering this in Jan's Digi Challenge #1-Anything Goes. I made one similar to this before but this time I did not frame it but instead it is a no layer card design.

I just love the simplicity of this scene and it depicts the beauty of the winter season with all the white snow laden trees and ground. So far we have not had that much snow....just a dusting. But I am okay with that as I can always get my snow fix by using this stamp set. I used a green Sharpie to color the trees and then I took a white paint pen and enhanced the snow on the trees where I had gotten blue onto the snow when I made the sky with blending brushes.

Sets used for this set are Sleigh Ride and Tree Scene.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are having a great evening too.

God bless,
Verna

A striking scene Verna - but I much prefer a summer Christmas :)

Such a lovely, peaceful scene, Verna. I imagine your home must frequently resemble this, whereas our skies will be that color, but without white stuff. Your sentiment and trees are beautifully colored! We have a cold front moving through and our lows have been in the 50s, with highs near 80 each day. PERFECT weather! Wishing you a happy Hump day! And now for my other hat: So happy I got to see your creation at Jan’s Digi Stamp Challenges . Thanks for the inspiration, and I hope to see more of your designs soon.
Smiles,
Donna

This is very pretty, Verna. The simplicity does evoke the quiet of a snowy twilight forest. I'm so glad to see many of my Sparkle n Sprinkle digi sets now available at Jan's.
