April will soon be history and in a couple days we will welcome in May. That is the month when the flowers start to bloom more and more. One thing we always see in May is the Lilac bushes blooming and the wonderful aroma from them is beautiful and so sweet smelling. I love the scent but I do find that it does trigger more allergy issues for me so I usually only keep the bouquet of lilacs my hubby brings in for me a couple days as I am beginning to suffer with them there. But they are so very beautiful and I love that my man wants to please me with them. In fact, when we were courting my parents did not have a lilac bush so he dug up some roots from his Mom's and transplanted them to our yard as a gift to me. So therefore, I really like lilacs even if they do bother my allergies.
I colored the House Mouse image titled Scent of Lilac with my Bic and Sharpie pens and then brushed on some blue around the design with my blending brushes. I die cut the scene out using the Spellbinder rounded corner rectangle die set as well as all the other layers. The last thing I added was a few rhinestone gems from my stash.
I am entering this in the following:
HMFMC #315-Anything Goes with the option Better Together.
Jan's Digis April 2020 Challenge -Anything Goes
I hope this finds you all doing well still. We are okay here as well. So until next time please continue to stay well.
God bless,
Verna

This is a sweet image and it makes me want a lilac bush but they don't grow here in Florida. Oh at least I've never seen one. We tend to melt them with our heat.
Anyway, I love your card. It's nice and cheery. Thank you for joining us at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge. {Bunny} Designer for House Mouse and Friends

You're a lucky lady to have such a sweet and thoughtful Mister! I love how lilacs scent up a room. Your House Mouse card is darling, Verna!
Adorable card and how romantic!! I miss lilacs so much... they don't survive here and I left a big beautiful bush behind in NY that I grew from a cutting that my son gave me when he was in first grade... nothing better than a living reminder that someone loves you... I gave a cutting to a friend before I left so she has a piece of it in her yard now.
I too love the scent of lilacs, and how sweet of your hubby to plant lilacs for you because he knows how much you like them! Like this mouse, I think I can smell them too :)
Oh this is so cute!! I just love lilacs!
