I've Been Busy

Well, there are several reasons why I have not posted lately. For one thing I pulled a muscle in my right leg and now am using a wheelchair. Also the garden has been producing cabbage, beets, green beans, onions and potatoes which need to be used. The photo below is just one hill of potatoes and it nearly filled up a gallon ice cream pail. If rodents had not eaten on two of them I think it would have been full. This photo was taken before we washed the dirt off. They sure look nice when clean.

But most important to us is that we have a new granddaughter, Leah Jeanne. And, she is healthy and so beautiful. We feel so blessed. Needless to say we are in love with her already.

She was born July 19th and weighed 8 lbs.1 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. And no medical complications for her at all either. And her Mom is doing well too and they both went home from the hospital today. So again I say God is good for hearing our prayers for a safe delivery. I just had to share our new little bundle of joy with you.

I hope all of you are doing well. I am getting some better with my leg but still I am so glad I have a wheelchair to use until I can walk again better. Take care and thanks to all of you for the visits and wonderful comments.

God bless, Verna

Leah is beautiful! What a precious blessing, and I’m so happy to hear that there were no complications! Those taters look wonderful, even with some dirt! Your garden sounds amazing! Verna, you be sure to adhere to speed limits in your new ‘Mercedes’! And get better soon! You’ve had a rough couple of years, but you always amaze me with your ongoing faith and positivity. Prayers and hugs…

So much to comment on, Verna! Normally, my go-to would be those delicious looking potatoes since my family calls me Mrs. Potato Head because they are my favorite food, but today the first order of business is that precious little human potato! Congratulations to all! So glad everyone is healthy. Leah Jeanne is an absolute doll! Third, I'm so sorry to hear about your pulled muscle and I hope you are all betters soon! Hugs, Darnell
