Well, the graduation announcements are starting to arrive so I figured I had better start working up a few cards for that occasion. For this card I used stamps from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Stamp Set 435-Graduation.
After I stamped the background and colored it I sponged lightly around the edges with some light turquoise ink. Next I layered it to some Slate colored card stock. I also stamped the center panel and added the words before sponging around the edges of that. I also placed that on a layer of the Slate card stock. All were added to a white card base. I added the diploma which I fussy cut and popped up onto the center sentiment panel. Last I placed some rhinestones onto the center panel.
The pens I used to color the background in were from a set of Sharpie Fine Point pens that I got for Christmas from my daughter. I really like these and know I will be using them a lot for some straight coloring projects.
I am entering this in the Words Art Wednesday challenge #332-#333 Anything Goes..
Well, we are having sunshine and warmer temperatures and it sure makes one feel more energetic and less blah feeling! So that is a great thing. I hope the sun is shining for you as well. Thanks for visiting and until next time take care.
God bless,
Verna

What a great design for the festive graduation celebration, Verna! I love all those wonderful colors of the mortarboards being tossed in the air! And I'm glad to hear the sun is finally shining and the temps are rising! Spring at last, spring at last!! Hugs, Darnell
I LOVE it! Perfect background and it looks more varied in coloring than straight Sharpies! Brilliant card, Verna! And today was the first hot day here. Glad the sun is there, too ♥
Fabulous and so fresh Verna. Perfect sentiment.
Great graduation card. I need some of these so I am pinning yours. I will need quite a few next year.

Lovely work on the colored background. Edging the corners to a darker shading draws the eye in to the focal image. Lots of dimension with the rolled diploma. Good for you at gaining a head start on these celebrations! TFS & Hugs.
Love love love this! What a great stamped background and that sentiment is fantastic... the diploma is the perfect touch!
The background is so colorful and pretty and perfectly stamped!! Love this grad card...I need a few myself and guess I had better get started on them!
great card Verna, love how you coloured the hats differently and the soft blue sponged edge is great.xx Karen
Perfect font for this excellent grad card!
Lovely graduation card, Verna! You're right, graduations will be here before you know it!
I never enjoyed making grad cards, but maybe because I didn't have the best stamps for them. This, however, looks like fun and it's very creative and colorful. Long about the time I think I'm done making grad cards, along comes a friend's grandchild who grew up faster than the speed of light. Isn't that the way it happens? Amazing that you colored this with Sharpies. I have a whole set and have never used them like this. It looks great!
