Greetings everyone! I hope all of you are having a good day and feeling a lot of love. If not from someone else, then for yourself. And, I know God loves all of you.
I am sharing a Valentine I baked for my hubby and me to share. It will last most of the week as I cut it into 12 pieces so that we don't overload so much on the carbs. And we will only eat one piece each day.
This is a Tiara cake filled with lite cherry pie filling. We top it off with a dollop of whipped cream or topping. Years ago I got these pans along with a cake mix from Duncan Hines. Put half of a cake mix batter in the greased pan and bake it. Let it cool. Then you tip it out onto a plate or platter and then add a filling inside the recessed area. I chose the cherry pie filling as it looked more like a Valentine. But I have also some times added a pudding type filling too. Anyone else get some of these pans? They work really great for making a fast dessert.
My hubby was so sweet to me and gave me chocolates along with a sweet card he purchased. I will share those chocolates with him as well. In fact, he got two big heart shaped boxes. One of Lindor and one of Russell Stover assortment. Yummy to both! After eating these treats we should both be extra sweet. LOL
I don't know if I will do anymore cards or not this week. And, we had snow again this morning and really strong winds. Now the snow quit and the sun is out but the winds are still raging and causing drifting. And, it is supposed to get colder as the day goes on. Oh, Winter, I am so tired of you! Spring come swiftly! I might have to cancel my six month checkup if this keeps on.
But in the meantime, thanks for the visit and you all take care.
God bless,
Verna

That cake looks delicious! That is a neat pie pan. My mom would make a heart shaped meringue with a recess in the top and fill it with cherry pie filling. She called it cherries on a cloud. I do make that sometimes but I made something chocolate this year!
You are very good to portion out your dessert! Enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Delicious looking cake! It may be bitter cold out there, but inside I think you and your dear hubby are nice and warm, not to mention sweet. I'm overcoming the stomach flu so hubby and I will celebrate Valentine's Day another day. Hugs and Blessings.

Yes I hope Spring comes quickly too. What a yummy looking cake and hope you both enjoy it, one slice at a time x. I don't bake that often so don't own these pans x
Well, this looks delicious! I'm so happy you have a good Valentine! Happy Love Day to you!
This cake looks delicious with the cherry pie filling - I can just imagine it with a dollop of whipped cream! Sounds like you had a lovely Valentine's day!
oh my goodness, I have one of these pans too but I have not used it in years! LOL This looks soooo yummy, and I'm so glad you had a wonderful Valentine's day :)
Oh, this looks delicious and, no, I do not have any of those pans. I have a zillion others, though, including a daisy mold. Love my sweets and I don't have your discipline when they're around. Best to eat it and be done with it! I'm a little late to visit, but I hope you stayed safe and canceled your appointment if it was too dangerous to drive. I don't think it would take much to keep me home!
I wish I did have one of those pans--looks absolutely yummy! Sounds like a wonderful Valentines Day--sweet hubby you've got!
Wow that looks awesome! I remember those pans and I am now wondering what happened to mine!
