Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencils

I am trying to use some of the items I bought and just had to have that I am ashamed to say have been sitting in a drawer without any love. So yesterday I began making this card and today I finished it. I hope it pleases you as much as it does me. I am afraid the photos are not doing it justice as it seems to look better to me in real life.

Beginning with the Altenew Dahlia Layered Stencil A I applied my color with my Life Changing Blending Brushes using the Gina K. Designs ink colors of Dusty Rose, Lucky Clover and Sea Glass. Once I had that process done I was ready to use the second stencil.

I decided not to add more ink colors to the design so with the Dahlia Layered Stencil B I took some DecoFoil Transfer Gel and applied that over the stencil to leave a thin layer. While it was still wet I took some Sparkle N Sprinkle Starfire Glitter and sprinkled that onto the wet portions. This was then set aside to dry until the next day when I proceeded to finish the design. It was dry before that but I left the final steps for another fun session which was today.

Here is a close up shot of the stenciled layers.

I cut this stenciled design down to 3 3/4 x 5 inches. I also die cut a Lucky Clover MFWT Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frame to put around the edges of this panel. Next I added the polka dot ribbon which I have no idea where it came from. But it worked so I went with it. The sentiment I stamped with Dusty Rose ink onto white card stock. It was from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set. It was then cut with a Fiskars Scalloped edger scissors and layered again to some Lucky Clover. before popping it over the ribbon. This panel was then ready to add to the Dusty Rose card stock base. I added a sheet of white card stock inside so I can stamp or write a message if I desire later on.

This will be entered in the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting and for all the wonderful comments you leave. I hope you are having a great day as well. It is a gorgeous one here and temps in the upper 50's. Feels so good!

Take care and God bless,
Verna

I really like the frosty look that you got with the DecoFoil transfer gel. The detail that you did with the frames gives it a punch and makes it beautiful. How do you like the Life Changing blending brushes? I am wanting them, but they are expensive.

It's so beautiful, Verna! Makes you wonder why you waited to use it, doesn't it? Happens to me all the time. I could kick myself. Lovely idea to add the sparkle as the second step.

Glitter and sparkle are so hard to photograph, but I think you did a wonderful job!! I can really see it when I click on your pix. The colors are so pretty, that sparkle just makes it even more beautiful. Perfect Spring colors. Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
