I did not have a big enough sheet of the blue card stock to which I had added the flowers so I decided to tear the edge. I also layered that to a panel of Grass Green and tore that edge as well. Then I placed this panel onto a base card of Dusty Rose card stock. The last things I added were the sentiment from that same stamp set and some green and pink gems.
Well, I guess all is not lost as I still think this ended up being a card that was still good enough to be used. It reminds me of Spring. So on the positive side all is well and Spring is coming soon even if it will be only on the calendar. I hope your weekend is filled with great things.
Thanks for visiting and may God bless,
Verna

It turned out beautiful and good for you for experimenting and sharing the results! I've never tried this yet. Not even on kraft. Sometimes I'm such a slow starter!
Well done Verna.. looks great. Its fun to experiment! Prismas are great fun too.

I think this turned out great! I love the sharp contrast of colors with those torn edges and the flowers look quite lovely!
Prismacolor Pencils always look amazing on colored cardstock, don't they, Verna? Your shading and coloring look fantastic! LOVING the torn edges - remember when that was in style long before die cuts came along? Yours are torn impeccably! I especially like your sentiment! Beautifully done. hugs, de
This is lovely Verna! I've never colored on darker cardstock and am always impressed on how striking it looks. I really need to learn to live a little. ;0) Thanks for the inspiration!
You made a great card by doing that. The colors really show up so well and I like how you used the torn blue and added the torn green so you could use it. Very clever way to save. I like the font on the sentiment too. It is snowing as I type but only 1 to 2 inches expected. My son and daughter in law are flying to Florida as I type this too. Wish I could go!
It turned out so pretty, Verna! Love your torn edges too! Beautiful card!
I love the contrast that you've achieved here on the dark colored cardstock. Perfect that it is layered on to the pink, which makes the color of the flowers pop even more. Loving the torn edges too!
Beautiful card, Verna! I love the added texture you created by tearing the card stock! Live it!

Lovely card, Verna. I like the colors of your card stocks and the torn edges, it's a great design.
Lovely card Verna, I think the torn edges worked perfectly for a fabulous sketch.
Sometimes the things we play around with turn out just as good or better as ones we plan. Gotta love it.
I'd say your experiment was quite successful! Just beautiful!
Colouring on dark card stock is fun and the results are different and yet worthwhile. You did a great job on this and I like your torn edges and colour choices.
This is so pretty! I love the way you tore the blue cardstock and then matched it with the green.
I love your design with torn paper and layering. Very clever!
