Country Scene

I made a sky using the colors of the rainbow and then from there added my simple scene elements. I thought this would make a nice masculine birthday card.

I used Gina K. Designs inks to blend colors using my Life Changing Blending Brushes. The Winter House Scene die is from Gina Marie Designs. And, that wonderful leafy frame is from Kat Scrappiness. I used a birthday sentiment from Gina K. Designs and stamped that in black ink using my Misti so that I could get a darker printing. The card base is white card stock and all of these layers were glued to the top of the card.

I am entering this in the Kat Scrappiness March Card Challenge-Rainbows. For this challenge one could use a rainbow or the colors of the rainbow. I chose the colors for my sky.

Well, the weekend is upon us again. Time sure marches on and I think the weekend for me may not include stamping. But who know? I have said that before and still ended up making a card or two. I do know I still need more masculine birthday cards as I have three guys having birthdays in March alone. So if the muse wants to work I might end up crafting again.

In the meantime you all have a great weekend. And thanks for the visit.
God bless,
Verna

Love the blending and the glorious colours on the background Verna. The leafy frame 'frames' the scene beautifully and the silhouette looks fabulous. Hope you manage some crafting on the weekend? x.

I love your idyllic scene, Verna! You've made it look like a painting on canvas with that gorgeous sunset sky in the background! Great idea to overlay it with the leafy frame! Enjoy the weekend whether the Muse stops by or not! I'll bet if you make some cinnamon rolls, he'll show up!! Hugs, Darnell

That is a beautiful leafy frame and a very inviting scene within it! You do the most beautiful blending with those brushes. I was looking at those online today, but decided I'd already spent enough. Ordered my first oxide inks, finally. I hope you're having an enjoyable weekend, however you choose to spend it.

You created such an atmospheric scene her Verna and it is perfect as a masculine card. I see you used the Life Changing Brushes that I've been seeing lately. The blend you got looks lovely but are they worth the cash would you say?
Hugs
