A friend on Facebook asked me if I would make a card to send to a 12 year old boy who is undergoing Cancer treatments. She thought if he got a lot of neat handmade cards that it might cheer him up. So with that goal in mind I proceeded to make a card that I thought might interest a young man his age. I went with a musical theme and shades of green.
The stamps used are all from Gina K. Designs. I used her Music Background set and the instruments were from the Just a Note set. I chose to use the ink colors of Lucky Clover and Christmas Pine. The card stock used was Gina's White, Lucky Clover. and Key Lime. The You Rock sentiment die is from Kat Scrappiness and was die cut from a piece of Gina's Grass Green foiled paper. I layered that sentiment onto another white cut one to make a shadow. My layers were all die cut with Memory Box Cross Stitched Border dies. I also used those same cross stitched dies to cut layers for the inside of the card. The trumpet was stamped with Christmas Pine and then colored in with Zigs and Copics. And that my friends is my card.
Tis' the season for green but alas we still have a lot of white in our neighborhood. I think it may be awhile before we see the green outside so I guess a little green on the inside will have to do with an all green (almost) card.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
Double D's Challenge-Let's Make Some Music
Dies R Us Challenge #116-For the Men/Boys in our Lives
Mod Squad Challenge-Green, Green Everywhere
Thanks for visiting and for the wonderful comments. Have a great evening!
God bless,
Verna

Great card fir a boy that age and hopefully brings a smile to him. No one likes to hear of a child going through this.

You are always first in line to send cards to people in need. This one will be great to receive. When my sister was sick with cancer, she got a ton of cards from people who we did not even know. I still have them and reappropriate them and send them forward to others. It is a good feeling.
Thanks for sharing it with us at Double D "Let's Make Some Music" Challenge.
