I was so enthused about using items from nature as elements on a card in some form or the other that my hubby went out and brought in a few juniper branches for me to use as stamps. Here is how I used one of the backgrounds I made using those junipers.
I thought when the juniper was used for a stamp on the Ivory card stock that it resembled ferny leaves so I added some flowers from the Gina K. Designs Bitty Blossoms set. They were colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I fussy cut them out and then layered them into a design in the bottom corner of the stamped juniper panel which was die cut with a Gina K. Designs small double stitched rectangle and then placed onto a layer of another die cut panel using the Gina K. Designs large stitched rectangle. The final panel layer was die cut using a Cottage Cutz double stitched rectangle die. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. All of this was placed onto an Ivory card base to complete the card.
I am entering this in the Mod Squad Challenge-Back to Nature.
Thanks for visiting and I hope your day is going well.
God bless,
Verna

I love the look of the stamped juniper branches! They made a great background for your pretty card!
Thudville! Amazing idea! I love the smell of juniper (within reason) and that print is subtle and elegant. Lovely coloring on the bitty blossoms! What a card!!!
Fantastic, you do girl. You may be the only one that gets this challenge. So cool!
What a delightful use of natural elements, Verna! I used to do that on occasion as well, but we always set up a card table outside, because we have so many tiny bugs here, and the seasons never seem to kill them off. So that's where I did mine. That juniper is lovely! Ours are much more prickly - like "sand spurs" to the feel. LOL What I especially like are your amazingly colorful flowers, dancing in the foreground of the fabulous greenery! Wishing you a very happy Saturday! hugs, de
Love, love, love this! You are so creative!!
Wonderful job! I love how you used your natural stamp. It turned out so well!
Awesome use of nature!
This is such a wonderful idea to actually use nature in card making, and this one turned out gorgeous!
Very pretty and I'm intrigued how you came up with inking those junipers! It makes for a perfect background to your flowerss!
Gee, who needs a Juniper stamp when you have plenty of it outside? How beautiful this turned out as a background for your flowers! Love the purple and green together. Brilliant, Verna!
LOVE this, Verna. Wonderful way to use the Juniper fronds, what a pretty look. Another great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along once again over at The Mod Squad.
Again very cool!! And gorgeous... those purple flowers just awesome! Love love that you made your background with the juniper branches!
The juniper makes such a fabulous background. Such a fun and creative card.
Very pretty Verna! I thought maybe your flowers were “real”! Maybe because I used some purple flowers on one of my cards.
